Massive news if true, I'm speechless and can't comprehend the implications (not a joke)
https://youtube.com/watch?v=_c5o5tIzCag

Tldr: major OEMs tend to not be very eager about sharing their own internal resources with third parties to a degree required to execute hardening all around the codebase. Motos are also recognized from a mandatory wait since the moment of activation (week?) and bricking if bootloader is locked in a state that isn't strictly the one expected (you end up with AVB red and flashing_locked, which is the non-factory lock state, that prevents their tool from working). In other words, unless Motorola happens to do a great job at their part of collaboration, Nothing would feel like a much more realistic partner, as their scale would make it more likely for proper codebase collaboration to exist.
By my standards, getting rid of third party blobs (usually related to audio, camera, display) is a major part of hardening one should be aiming at. After all, it makes it easier to keep all components up-to-date, thanks to lesser dependencies. But then, you get new responsibilities, things have to still work while you drifted apart from the default distribution. Time will tell what we'll actually see.

From the uncommented caption in the vid: There's an unnoticed Easter egg too, a "bloatware-free" business edition. Curious if it refers to GOS or to a variant of stock. Probably the latter.

Common sense (not because Samsung is nice, duh) implies a fake. Addressed to a Telegram channel, printed and teleported. Unnecessarily long (DMCAs and C&Ds usually aren't). One could surely list more.

What's frightening is that some may think it actually works, even despite the clue on the screen.

Personal commentary:
Devices only unlockable with exploit are the superior choice to ones unlockable through bribery.
On Mi 17 Pro, compared to Mi 17 or Mi 17 Ultra, there won't be naggers constantly fizzling about the need of installing the latest OTA of stock (which may break the exploit-unlock), that could otherwise be so tiresome on devices that tend to be bought overpriced (global) and topped with paid unlock.
Disclaimer: you may still have to pay for EDL session.

There's one thing it's certainly excellent at. Using the same SoC as iPhone 16 Pro, it manages to show the difference between restrictive philosophy of iOS and fully usable MacOS. On the same hardware.

The status quo is: even if you go through a completely offline setup on ThinkPhone 25 (supposedly a phone you should buy as a business for your employees), you're still met with Facebook in your app drawer. Bloat-less Moto stock would genuinely be something, but it sure doesn't seem material yet, although I'll go through unboxing vids of two other models just in case.

GSMArena absolutely failed their due diligence. You can't fit 18.6 millimeters of physical focal length in a classic module of a significantly slimmer device. S26U has a "round peri", not a "classic" tele. It's either a "W shape" or "ALoP".

Just like 16MP in a phone spec for many years meant a subpar sensor format, now the difference between a high-end and midrange camera setup is in whether 200MP+50MP combo refers to tele+main, or main+tele.

The largest telephoto sensors to this day are 200MP and the largest main camera sensors to this day remain mostly 50MP. You may see a LYT-901 main, but you'll be guaranteed to see it in combination with a 200MP tele through the foreseeable future because of its market placement.

Tldr: if the two sentences from the pic are correct, expect a HP5 main on OP16.

adb shell reboot bootloader
(any other method of entering bootloader is also fine)

fastboot oem set-gpu-preemption 0 androidboot.selinux=permissive
fastboot continue

Install the manager from https://github.com/tiann/KernelSU/actions/runs/23055483890 (alt: https://nightly.link/tiann/KernelSU/actions/runs/23055483890/manager.zip)
Press the jailbreak button.

You have temp root. Just don't write to any partitions that are verified by bootloader, you'll brick.

Yes, this is a guide specifically for Mi 17 (series?). I've seen set-gpu-preemption-value elsewhere, and setting that does give you permissive SELinux state and working adb, but you're left with a black screen, this doesn't occur with set-gpu-preemption.

(excuse the Polish screenshots)

In the FDE days, you could mostly nullify someone's encryption by telling them to enable accessibility services. Users who ended up in such a state often had zero clue about the reason they were no longer asked for their decryption password before seeing their lock screen.
