I personally heard a LOT of aircraft going east to west over Donetsk last night, and today was peaceful in the center and in Petrovsky. I was out and about in both places for hours today. It was a nice day. Juneteenth.
I will be in Petrovsky and out in the center for much of tomorrow, we will see how it goes... I think it will be fine.

Donetsk. Today, enemy artillery was not so as actively shelling the residential area, and here's why.
The positions of the enemy in the fortified areas were first hit by "Mr Kalibr" and then at night, around 03:00 Moscow time, aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces began to strike the main and reserve positions of the enemy, strong points, warehouses in the Avdeevka fortified area for over 2 hours.
The Donetsk residents felt the results of this response already on June 19: the shelling of the city did not go beyond the โusualโ of past years
The intensity of enemy fire has drastically decreased.
Itโs too soon to say this will last but it sure is a great step in the right direction.

I drove an M113 APC when I was in the US Army, 40 fuckin' years ago. "Death trap"? That hardly covers it, the side armor is aluminum, 50 cal or 12.7 Uchos will go right through it like butter, at multi hundred yards, even with standard ammo, not even AP. Somebody should tell the ukrops what they're getting into. The M113 was pretty old when it was used by the uSA in VIETNAM. Armor piercing ammo has advanced quite a bit in the last half century... Well... The ukrops get what they ask for, and they do deserve it, so bring it on...

Iโm going to hold off on this until it happens. It seems like the whole attack on the oil facility was intended for this exact response. They want it happen because theyโre about to lose and they need the west to step in. If it happens Iโm sure the west wonโt but the leadership in Ukraine have their backs against a wall and will do anything to get out. Time will tell.
Addendum: I would like to see this happen lol

Addendum ll: why would the Russian Black Sea fleet leave all at once and broadcast its intent? It would be much easier to strike from Belgorod, Kursk, or Belarus. Less flight time and warning for potential targets. Rule of thumb for these situations. If you and I know about it, itโs probably not whatโs going to happen. If the Ukrainians are saying it then it definitely wonโt.

Maybe a ukrop attack on the Crimea bridge? If the ukrops (and their masters) try that, they will wish they hadn't. BIG TIME.
