Contrary to Israeli military claims, emergency lights were activated on the vehicles of paramedics killed in Rafah. A video filmed by one of the 15 paramedics assassinated by the Israeli military in Rafah two weeks ago was obtained by The New York Times.
The video casts doubt on the Israeli military's account of the incident. The military claimed at the time that several vehicles approached the forces in a suspicious manner, without headlights or emergency lights, and without prior coordination. The Israeli military subsequently opened fire on the vehicles.
The video that reached the American newspaper shows the opposite of the Israeli army's account: emergency lights were turned on on Palestinian Red Crescent vehicles and on the fire engine before they were subjected to heavy gunfire.

This shocking video is not just a tragic scene, but damning evidence of the occupation's brutality and blatant violation of international laws and conventions. It is also a deliberate attempt to conceal the crime by burying the victims in mass graves and obscuring the truth. This reflects the fascist and criminal nature of this entity and adds a new chapter to its record of crimes against humanity.
This crime is an extension of a long series of attacks by the fascist occupation on ambulance and civil defense crews, humanitarian workers, and its ongoing violations against defenseless civilians in the Gaza Strip. This raises legitimate questions about the shameful international stance and silence, which provides cover for the continuation of these crimes.
We renew our call to the United Nations, its international bodies, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and all people of conscience to take urgent action to document this crime and all other crimes, refer them to international courts, and work to hold the occupation leaders accountable as war criminals.
