US envoy Steve Witkoff is expected to arrive in the Middle East next week, where he will meet in Abu Dhabi with Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer, who heads the Israeli negotiating team on the prisoner swap, according to a senior US official.
The US official said that Witkoff may also travel to Doha or Cairo if developments occur in the prisoner swap negotiations.
He added that Witkov met yesterday with the families of prisoners still being held in Gaza, as well as prisoners released as part of the recent deal, and briefed them on the efforts being made to reach a new deal.
US and Israeli officials said they hope that the protests in the Gaza Strip, coupled with Israeli military pressure, will push Hamas toward greater flexibility and agree to the release of more than five living prisoners in exchange for resuming the ceasefire.

There is a real proposal put forward in the past few hours by the Egyptians, in a new atmosphere, which can be called "a proposal for mediation on the previous mediation."
A new attempt by the parties to reach a formula for understanding between Israel and Hamas. We cannot delve into the details of this proposal, but it can be said that it falls somewhere between the original proposal, which spoke of the release of five living prisoners, and the Israeli proposal, which spoke of the release of eleven living prisoners.

🇺🇸 ❌ 🇾🇪 💵 ⚡️ - CNN from sources:
The cost of the US operation against the Houthis is close to one billion dollars in less than three weeks, despite its limited impact.
US attacks on the Houthis used hundreds of millions of dollars' worth of munitions.
The US military will likely need to request additional funding from Congress to continue strikes in Yemen
It is difficult to determine the amount of weapons remaining in the hands of the Houthis.
Some Houthi sites were destroyed, but this did not affect their ability to continue their attacks in the Red Sea.
US officials have acknowledged that the Houthis are still able to entrench themselves and store weapons underground.
The Houthis have shot down two advanced American MQ-9 drones since the start of the current strikes.

Everyone who supported a swap deal at some point in the fighting is no longer in office, and that's very scary.
Ronen Bar, Yoav Galant, Herzi Halevi, and all the security officials who surrounded the prime minister, all the security agencies who told him that it was possible to go to a deal and end the war – they are no longer there.
When I met with Netanyahu, I felt that he did not know Matan's situation, he hardly knew the story of the tank - from which he was captured - or that there was a soldier named Matan Engrest who was being held captive.

🇵🇸⚡️🇹🇷 - Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said his country
"does not want any confrontation with Israel in Syria," after repeated Israeli attacks on military sites there undermined the new Syrian government's ability to deter threats.
"Israel's actions in Syria are paving the way for future instability in the region"
"If the new administration in Damascus wants to reach certain understandings with Israel, that's its own business," Fidan said
Asked about US President Donald Trump's threats to launch military strikes on Iran, Fidan said that "diplomacy is necessary" to resolve the conflict, and made clear that Ankara does not want to see any attack on its neighbor.
Turkey said that the Israeli aggression on Gaza amounts to genocide against the Palestinians, and applied to join a lawsuit against Israel at the International Court of Justice and suspended all trade with it.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry said on Thursday that the provocative statements made by Israeli ministers toward Türkiye reflect what it called the aggressive nd expansionist policies pursued by their fundamentalist and racist government.

Our operations are a bargaining chip in the hands of the Palestinian resistance negotiators, and if America and Israel want to escalate further, we are ready.
Things are heading towards escalation due to the Israeli aggression on Gaza and the American mobilization in the region.
Ending the war on Gaza is what will restore calm to the region.

The number of wounded is very large, and the hospital is unable to accommodate them in light of the siege imposed on the health sector.
The lack of entry of medical supplies and equipment hinders the necessary interventions to save the injured.
We received more than 30 martyrs from the Dar Al-Arqam School massacre, and more than 60 martyrs and 180 wounded during the past 24 hours.
We had to make a trade-off between the wounded due to lack of resources.
A number of wounded were martyred due to the lack of sufficient operating rooms and medical staff.
We demand the lifting of the siege on the Gaza Strip, especially on the health sector.
We stress the urgent need to open the crossings for the entry of medical supplies and spare parts.
We call for allowing medical delegations to enter urgently and in large numbers.
We demand that the wounded be allowed to leave for treatment abroad to relieve pressure on hospitals.
