Has the decision been made to sacrifice the kidnapped for the sake of "seizing territories"?

Instead of releasing the kidnapped in an agreement and ending the war, the Israeli government is sending more fighters into Gaza, to fight in the same places where they fought time and time again.

The families were horrified to wake up this morning to the announcement by the Minister of Defense that the military operation in Gaza would be expanded for the sake of "seizing extensive territories."

The responsibility for freeing the 59 kidnapped from Hamas captivity lies with the Israeli government. Our difficult feeling is that this mission has been pushed to the bottom of its priorities, and has become only a secondary mission.

We demand of the Prime Minister, the Minister of Defense, and the Chief of Staff: Stand before the public in general and before the families of the kidnapped in particular and explain how this operation serves the purpose of returning the kidnapped, and how you intend to avoid putting them at risk - putting the living in danger of death and the dead in danger of disappearance.
