Condolences and condemnation

The Ministry of Health condemns the heinous crime committed by the occupation forces when they targeted paramedics and medical crews from the Palestinian Red Crescent Society while they were carrying out their humanitarian duties in Rafah Governorate a week ago. The bodies of eight paramedics were recovered today after contact with them had been lost over the previous days. Some of these bodies were bound and shot in the chest, and they were buried in a deep hole to prevent their whereabouts being identified.

We call on the United Nations and relevant international bodies to conduct an urgent investigation into these crimes and hold the occupation accountable for committing them.

We also emphasize the necessity of providing protection to medical personnel, ensuring their safe access, and providing services to those in need, as guaranteed and stipulated by international laws.
