A car bomb detonated beneath a Kia Sorento in southern Moscow shortly after the driver entered the vehicle last night, leaving the driver in critical condition. Investigators suspect that an improvised explosive device (IED) was placed under the car and are treating the incident as a targeted attack. Unofficial sources indicate that the vehicle belonged to Russian Major General Fanil Sarvarov, who serves as the head of operational training at the Russian Ministry of Defense and has extensive combat experience in Chechnya, South Ossetia, Syria, and Ukraine.
