Details of the incident in which Sergeant Danilo Mocano was killed in Khan Yunis:

1. The fighters operated inside a four-story building in the eastern Khan Yunis area. The building was booby-trapped, and after the force entered the building, the explosive device inside exploded.

2. Initial investigations indicate that it was an enemy explosive device, and the IDF is currently investigating how militants activated the device on the force.

3. After the building exploded, it collapsed. As a result of the building collapse, Danilo was killed, and another fighter was slightly injured.

4. Rescue teams worked at the scene for long hours to extract the victim from the rubble. The lengthy search and rescue operation began in the afternoon and did not end until late at night. Long hours of uncertainty and tension ensued—until the event finally came to an end, and a message was delivered to the family members.
