The agent, Muhammad Salih, was recruited in Iraq after having previously served in Hezbollah units, including Units 4100, 1100, and 7100, and was tasked with personnel security. He received financial payments via what is known as "dead mail" between Lebanon and Iraq. Journalist Radwan Mortada pointed out that this type of high payment is only granted to agents who have provided extremely sensitive and important information.
