A new study conducted by researchers at McMaster University supports some promising results for Fluvoxamine in the treatment of C19.

Fluvoxamine is an SSRI medication (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor like Zoloft, Lexapro, Prozac) that is currently FDA approved for the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

𝐖𝐇𝐘 𝐒𝐡𝗼𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐢 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞?
According to this randomized clinical trial conducted with 1000s of patients over the past 6 months, those given Fluvoxamine within a few days after testing positive for C19 were 31% less likely to end up hospitalized.

𝐇𝐎𝐖 𝐃𝗼𝐞𝐬 𝐈𝐭 𝐖𝗼𝐫𝐤?
Fluvoxamine was discovered to have a unique ability to bind to receptors in cells that regulate the production of cytokines.

Cells damaged by C19 can release tons of cytokines, causing inflammation in the lungs resulting in severe illness and lasting tissue damage.

Since early studies are showing Fluvoxamine can mitigate the intensity of The Cytokine Storm, this medication may have some potential in saving people from a life-threatening situation.
