GOP Senator calls out NBC for 'selectively omitting key words' from 14th Amendment in Trump interview

Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah., took NBC News to task for "selectively omitting" a key part of the 14th Amendment in a question about birthright citizenship during an interview with President-elect Donald Trump on Sunday.

Trump was asked about a number of changes he intends to implement once he assumes office during a sit down released on NBC’s "Meet the Press," including his plan to end birthright citizenship. Under the 14th Amendment, someone born in the U.S. is granted citizenship regardless of whether their parents are citizens. Trump confirmed that he intends to end the policy "on Day One," calling it "ridiculous."

NBC host Kristen Welker pushed back, arguing that the 14th Amendment "states all persons in the United States are citizens. Can you get around the 14th Amendment with executive action?" she asked.

Trump said he was open to using executive action, reiterating that the U.S. is "the only country has it" and "we have to end it."

Lee shared a clip of the exchange on X later Sunday, rebuking the NBC host for omitting six critical words from the 14th Amendment in her question to Trump.

"All persons born … in the United States, *and subject to the jurisdiction thereof,* shall be citizens of the United States," Lee wrote on X, highlighting the missing words in asterisks.

"Those words matter," he added.

This illustrates why the term “homeless” is misleading. The vast majority of those on the streets are there due to severe drug addiction and/or mental illness.

Tim Ballard is saving kinds FROM the US Government, which trafficks them into the US, supported by the Border Czar, Kamala Harris.

Tim has to go work with Mexican authorities to save these kids trafficked in the US. The kids come over with phone numbers on them. It is assumed, by the US Gov and NGOs that these numbers are their caregivers here in the US, when they are, according to Tim, the actual customers or recipients of the human trafficking package itself, the child.

⚪️ Over 300,000 children have made the journey across the border and been delivered to sponsors with little to no vetting or background checks by U.S. authorities.
⚪️ Normally, a child found alone in the U.S. would undergo thorough background checks, DNA testing, and not be turned over to anyone unless it was 100% confirmed they were going to their family.
⚪️ Instead, U.S. agencies like Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) are sending these unaccompanied children to NGOs, who then call the phone numbers written on the children and send them to whoever claims them, with little vetting.
⚪️ The contractors and NGOs involved are "making millions of dollars" off this system, describing it as a "child trafficking delivery service" funded by taxpayer dollars.

FEMA seems to be very confused about why #WNC residents receiving the "maximum" payout are still upset.

Let me explain:

a) You're living in your retirement home in Chimney Rock at age 68 with your wife, you both saved up forever for this home.

b) Helene comes in and carries that home down into the lake below, your whole life savings along with it.

c) You barely escape with your life and a few weeks later submit a "housing assistance" form on FEMA's website.

d) FEMA shows up and takes a look at where your home used to be and says, "Yep, that sucks, you qualify!"

e) You feel lucky, many of your neighbors didn't qualify so you wait on FEMA to get back to you.

f) A few days later you receive a payout into your bank account of $42,500.

g) You turn to your wife and say... wait a minute, we still have $120,000 left on our mortgage, but we don't have a house!

h) You call FEMA and say, "Hey, I'm grateful for the $42,500, but I don't have a home and I still owe 6 figures on the one that doesn't exist. What do I do now?"

i) FEMA says, totally get it, we can put you up in a hotel for 31 days.

j) You say, I don't need a hotel, I need a plan to rebuild my home and get my life back together!

k) FEMA says, "Oh right, about that... you can't actually build on the land your house once existed on because it's in a flood plain now."

l) You sit there in silence. Finally you respond, "So my home is in a lake, I only have $42,500 to my name, I owe $120,000 on my mortgage, and the land I currently own, I can't even build on?"

m) FEMA goes, "That's correct, here's a 31 day hotel voucher.

That's why people are pissed.

I've got my reservations about AI, mainly for the reasons Musk talks about here. The truth is God's expression, his word, and this means if an AI is truly maximally truth-seeking it will discover God, His morality, and his love for life and mankind. That's something every Hollywood movie completely misses.

The founding fathers were maximally truth-seeking, and they discovered the truths that led to the creation of America. When people do this they discover God and improve their lives. Would an uncensored AI make the same discoveries and become good of heart just like someone who finds the whole truth? The logic is sound.

Trump promises to make energy cheap again and American energy independent again, driving the cost of living down and providing jobs to Americans. The age of intentional American decline and economic warfare against the people will come to an end.

In Trump's own words: "If you want to be an advanced manufacturing nation, you must be able to produce low-cost energy. You'll never be a rich nation without it.

And if you want to deindustrialize the United States, then you would seek to drive up the cost of energy here as much as possible, just as Joe Biden has done, perhaps unknowingly."
