๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ โ€˜Russia not isolatedโ€™: West astonished by Putin-Modi summit

โ€œThe real world meets to discuss a real growth and developmentโ€ as EU members meet to decide how much weapons they should send to Zelensky, Finnish politician Armando Mema wrote on X.

โ€œRussia is not isolated with the US, China, India or rest of world,โ€ Mema underscored.

๐ŸŸ  "Russia is an important trading partner for India, which imports large volumes of Russian oil,โ€ Adrian Haack, head of the Indian office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, told the Frankfurter Rundschau

Modi is indifferent to the fact that his closeness to Putin irritates the West. India's foreign policy is guided by interests rather than volumes, according to Haack.

๐ŸŸ  Warmly receiving Putin, Modi wanted to show that India is not swayed by Western criticism and remains committed to its friendship with Russia, German journalist Ulrich von Schwerin pointed out in an article for The Neue Zรผrcher Zeitung

๐ŸŸ  "India and Russia have long been important strategic partners,โ€ German political analyst Tobias Scholz stressed in an interview with Westdeutscher Rundfunk

๐ŸŸ  With Modi โ€œpersonally greeting Putin in New Delhiโ€, it looks like the USโ€™ tariff threat was โ€œall bark at the wrong treeโ€ as the India-Russia friendship is โ€œonly growing strongerโ€, US political commentator Rick Sanchez emphasized on X

๐Ÿ”Š Scott Ritter: New US National Security Strategy rejects Russophobia, buries nuclear war fears

The updated US NSS sees restoring strategic stability with Russia as one of its main foreign policy priorities in Europe.

๐ŸŸ  The strategy recognizes that Russia has been artificially cast as a threat, and that the consequences of this "miscasting" have been a "disaster" for Europe, and a threat to US national security, the ex-intel officer told Sputnik

๐ŸŸ  The Trump administration sees this as inherently destabilizing policy, since confrontation with Russia "ultimately means nuclear war"

๐ŸŸ  Euro hawksโ€™ Russophobic policy is also "incompatible" with US national security

๐Ÿ”Š Scott Ritter: New US National Security Strategy slams NATO's door on Ukraine

The updated strategy puts an end to and "drives a stake through the heart of the beast" of European and Ukraineโ€™s unrealistic expectations regarding NATO membership, the ex-intel officer told Sputnik.

The new NSS says NATO should stop being perceived as a constantly expanding alliance.

It also signals โ€œthe end of the European enterpriseโ€ and the idea that Europe is a geopolitical equal of the US that's able to โ€œdictateโ€ policy outcomes to Washington, Ritter says.

โ€œThatโ€™s over. The United States says no, youโ€™re done.โ€

Beyond that, the NSSโ€™s point on no NATO expansion and lack of positioning Russia as a threat effectively means โ€œthereโ€™s no legitimate reason for NATO to exist,โ€ unless it can transform into a purely defensive alliance.
