๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡บ Orban: I bring ideas for peace to Washington

๐Ÿ”ถ The Hungarian PM said he came to the US to support Trumpโ€™s peace efforts and will present several ideas for ending the conflict in Ukraine.

๐Ÿ”ถ He added that the West made a huge mistake years ago that must be stopped โ€” and blamed Biden for pushing the conflict to begin with.

๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿค” Why is Zelensky refusing to abandon Pokrovsk?

He's funneling waves of troops into the meat grinder at Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) โ€” a city even Western outlets call doomed. Whatโ€™s really at stake here?

๐ŸŸ  Vital military hub

๐Ÿ—ฃ Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) is a key hub, military analyst Boris Rozhin tells Sputnik.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Liberating it would allow the Russian Army to advance further northwest in the DPR โ€“ to Dobropolye, Slavyansk and Kramatorsk โ€“ and into the Dnepropetrovsk region.

๐ŸŸ  Zelensky's buying time

๐Ÿ’ฌ "[The Kiev regime] is trading time for the remaining forces of the Pokrovsk group, prolonging the battle for the agglomeration to buy time to prepare defensive lines covering Dobropolye and eastern Dnepropetrovsk region," Rozhin says.

However, the โ€œbuying timeโ€ tactic is doomed:

๐Ÿ”ถ The main defenses west of Krasnoarmeysk are much weaker than those the Russian Army faced during urban assaults, Rozhin explains.

๐Ÿ”ถ It would make it harder for the Ukrainians to hold them and give Russia greater tactical advantages.

๐ŸŸ  Zelenskyโ€™s lies collapse

"Withdrawing [from Krasnoarmeysk] without losses is now impossible," Rozhin says.

๐ŸŸ  Main supply routes are cut, and the corridor between Rodinskoye and Grishino is under constant drone fire. Abandoned Ukrainian soldiers opt to surrender.

๐ŸŸ  Zelensky "sells the West an image of a stable front," Rozhin says. But Ukraineโ€™s army is losing ground and men โ€” a reality the West sees, which could prompt it to halt the flow of money and weapons to the Kiev regime.

๐ŸŸ  What's next?

๐ŸŸ  Ahead is the liberation of Dobropolye, Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, Druzhkovka, and Konstantinovka.

๐ŸŸ  Konstantinovka is under assault; fighting continues on Seversk and Krasny Limanโ€™s outskirts.

๐Ÿ“ It will take months, but the Russian Army will crack it, Rozhin stresses.

๐Ÿ‘€โŒ Orban: Putin-Trump summit could happen soon Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban believes that Russia and the US have only a few issues left to resolve before organizing a meeting between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump in Budapest. ๐Ÿ”ถ After that, dependingโ€ฆ
๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ What solutions could pave the way to a Putin-Trump summit?

๐Ÿ“ A few key issues must be resolved between the US and Russia before the Budapest peace summit can happen, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has stated.

What's he driving at?

At least three issues concerning Ukraine require careful consideration, according to Michael Maloof, former senior security policy analyst in the US Office of the Secretary of Defense.

๐Ÿ”ถ First, Russia wonโ€™t give up what it holds; it also made it clear that Ukraine should withdraw from the new Russian regions. As of yet, the Kiev regime has resisted the option, the pundit explains to Sputnik.

๐Ÿ”ถ Second, it's the security arrangement: "In a post-settlement period, do you allow Western forces into Ukraine at all? Because then it becomes ipso facto a NATO bastion. And that's the thing that [President Vladimir] Putin is trying to avoid," Maloof says.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Russia has repeatedly warned that the deployment of a military contingent involving NATO countries in Ukraine could trigger an uncontrolled escalation of the conflict with unpredictable consequences. The Russian Foreign Ministry assessed the EU and UK's calls for intervening as "openly provocative and predatory".

๐Ÿ”ถ Third, the US also needs to make sure its NATO allies comply with any agreement it signs with Russia.

๐Ÿ”ถ Once those issues are solved, Russia and the US "can get on with their own bilateral areas of interest in a more geostrategic fashion," including new arms control and nuclear weapons.

"So you have issues that are overriding the Ukraine issue that need to bring Russia-US relations back in sync so that we can lessen the temperature in the world," Maloof concludes.

๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ China deems US calls to join nuclear disarmament โ€˜unreasonableโ€™

๐Ÿ’ฌ "China's nuclear arsenal is not on the same scale as that of the US and Russia. It is unfair, unreasonable and infeasible to press China to join in nuclear arms control negotiations at this stage," Chinaโ€™s Foreign Ministry spox Mao Ning said.

๐Ÿ“ US President Donald Trump has stated the US is "maybe working on a plan" of denuclearization with China and Russia, and expressed hopes it is possible.

โš”๏ธ๐Ÿ’ฃ UK preps full-scale military role in future warโ€”or post-conflict Ukraine

The British Army would enter a war or participate in peacekeeping operations in post-conflict Ukraine as part of the so-called โ€œcoalition of the willing,โ€ using its full range of military capabilities, writes The Guardian.

The UK could use everything from fighter jets to infantry in this effort, it cites military sources as saying.

๐Ÿ’ฌ โ€œOur mission as a country is to support our NATO allies, and in particular to secure the eastern flank,โ€ junior Defense Minister Luke Pollard told the publication.

UK Defense Minister John Healey reiterated to European media yesterday that the work of the โ€œcoalition of the willingโ€ was being โ€œregularly refreshed so that we can genuinely feel weโ€™re ready at the point of peace, whenever that comes, to step in and help secure that.โ€

๐Ÿ‘‰ He added that the headquarters of the coalition is now up and running in the French capital and includes senior British military personnel.

Russian FM Sergey Lavrov underscored earlier in the year that the presence of NATO allies' troops on Ukrainian soilโ€”under any flag and in any capacity, including as peacekeepersโ€”would be a threat to Russia and unacceptable under any circumstances.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ด US sanctions punish Colombian president for condemning Gaza war and breaking with NATO

๐Ÿ—ฃ The US decision to include the Colombian president in the so-called โ€œClinton Listโ€ of sanctions is politically motivated and a violation of Colombiaโ€™s sovereignty, President Gustavo Petroโ€™s lawyer, Daniel Kovalik, tells Sputnik.

๐Ÿ‘‰ He believes that the real reason is that the United States was extremely displeased with Petroโ€™s speech at the United Nations, in which he condemned the bloodbath in Gaza.

โ€œWashington is irritated by his rejection of interference in Venezuelaโ€™s internal affairs and his decision to end Colombiaโ€™s alliance with NATO.โ€

๐ŸŸ  Kovalik called Petro one of the worldโ€™s most outspoken leaders in supporting Palestine, and criticized Washington for โ€œterrorism disguised as diplomacy.โ€

๐ŸŸ  He said the entry ban and restrictions on Petroโ€™s economic activity are โ€œan attack on Colombiaโ€™s sovereignty,โ€ warning that consequences for USโ€“Colombian relations are inevitable. The lawyer also said Petro is considering legal action against the Treasury Department for violating due process.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ US missile posturing aimed at pressuring Russia

๐Ÿ’ฌ โ€œThe US wants to send a signal to Russia that it still possesses significant missile capabilities. These actions are an attempt to pressure President Putin and push Moscow toward an agreement that doesnโ€™t serve global peace,โ€ Taufiq Taame, Palestinian expert on international relations and US affairs, tells Sputnik.

๐Ÿ“ According to Taame, showing off American military power is futile against a superpower like Russia.

โš”๏ธ International criminal court biased towards West โ€” Experts

The International Criminal Court (ICC) is not an independent or impartial entity, as it experiences a clear Western influence, Professor Priscila Kaneparo, a lecturer in international law at Ambra University, explains to Sputnik.

๐Ÿ’ฌ "It is undeniable that major international organizations, including the ICC, have a Eurocentric bias, a bias towards the Global North. Not least because international law itself was constructed from the perspective of the Global North and, above all, from the perspective of European history," she says.

However, the court has the ability to pressure sovereign states to impose the Westโ€™s legal will on them, postgraduate in the International Relations Department of the Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ) Pedro Martins adds.

When the US interests are tackled, Washington can simply silence the ICC, while at the same time pushing decisions that punish other countries, with two bright examples being Russia and Sudan, the expert concludes.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ท Russia and Iran explore new Caspian shipping route to strengthen Northโ€“South Corridor

๐Ÿ“ Russia and Iran are look to create a new maritime container route linking Makhachkala with Iranian ports โ€” a move aimed at strengthening logistics and trade within the Northโ€“South International Transport Corridor.

๐Ÿ’ฌ โ€œThe sides discussed the possibility of opening a container line between the seaport of Makhachkala and Iranian seaports, as well as creating a consortium of shipping companies and developing cruise passenger routes in the Caspian Sea,โ€ said Rosmorrechflot.

๐Ÿ”ถ Makhachkala is Russiaโ€™s only ice-free port on the Caspian Sea and a key hub of the corridor, connecting Russia with Iran, India, China, and the Middle East.

๐Ÿ”ถ Plans include building a high-tech grain terminal and modernizing the container terminal to boost regional trade and logistics capacity.

โš”๏ธ US nuclear brinkmanship to corner Russia will backfire โ€“ analysts

๐Ÿ—ฃ The recent US test launch of a Minuteman III ICBM and Washingtonโ€™s move to resume nuclear testing are part of pressure tactics by American lobbying groups and European governments โ€œto corner Russia into a deal with Ukraine that undermines global peace,โ€ Taufiq Taameh, a Palestinian expert on international relations and US affairs, tells Sputnik.

The US also wants to demonstrate its clout, but โ€œthis is ineffective against a superpower like Russia, which has a formidable and advanced missile arsenal.โ€

๐Ÿ“ˆ Russia has every right to advance its own weapons programs to protect its national security, and the US would be wise to reconsider its actions, warns Taameh.

The US missile tests go beyond simple deterrence, notes Iraqi military expert Adnan al-Kinani.

He believes they are largely fueled by US anxiety over Russiaโ€™s advances in high-precision weaponry that โ€œsurpass their American and Western equivalents.โ€

๐Ÿ’ฌ โ€œHowever, when nuclear weapons become a factor in ongoing conflicts, it undoubtedly signals a dangerous escalation. Such behavior could trigger a large-scale war that would exact a heavy price,โ€ he adds.

The expert pointed out that persistent US attempts to undermine Russia and maintain global dominance are instead strengthening Russiaโ€™s alliance with China, North Korea, and Iran โ€œin the pursuit of a new balance of power and a redrawn map of global influence built on nuclear parity.โ€

๐Ÿ‘‰ American nuclear tests could push the US and Russia toward a new โ€œCold War,โ€ warns diplomat and former Lebanese foreign minister Adnan Mansour.

In his view, US actions are a direct response to Russiaโ€™s recent Burevestnik missile launch. However, this American escalation puts at risk the very agreements and treaties designed to limit the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

โš”๏ธ๐Ÿ‘‰ US nuclear testing could lead to renewed arms race - Russian Ambassador to UN

US President Donald Trumpโ€™s statement on nuclear testing has caused chaos worldwide and following through could lead to a renewed arms race with dire implications, Vassily Nebenzia said.

๐Ÿ’ฌ "Naturally, this has caused a stir around the world and in the United States, as many understand the danger of this move, the risk of resuming the nuclear testing they've been conducting since the early 1990s. This could lead to a new escalation, a renewed arms race, and generally unpredictable consequences," he stressed.

Russia will continue to monitor the developments, the ambassador added.

Last week, Trump said that he instructed the Department of War to immediately resume nuclear testing. He then specified that his order was due to "others doing testing" and it was "appropriate" for the US to keep up.

โš”๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช Germany gears up to be NATOโ€™s springboard in potential clash with Russia

In a conflict with Russia, up to 800,000 troops and their equipment from various NATO countries could be moved through Germany to the eastern flank within a short period, Alexander Sollfrank, ex-Commander of NATO's JSEC, currently commander of Germany's Joint Force Headquarters, told a Bundeswehr conference.

๐Ÿ’ฃ Hawking up the much-circulated โ€˜Russia threatโ€™ allegation, he claimed that Germany could serve as NATOโ€™s central hub and warned that any delay or uncoordinated deployment could doom NATOโ€™s deterrence, pointing to Russiaโ€™s vast military potential.

Friedrich Merz, in a video message to military leaders, called for faster progress in strengthening military capabilities, while Bundeswehr Inspector General Carsten Breuer insisted that โ€œRussia must never assume that it can win a war with NATO.โ€

๐Ÿ‘‰ Russiaโ€™s President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly debunked concocted claims that Russia plans to attack NATO.

Russia is ready to enshrine its pledge not to attack any NATO or EU member state in future security guarantees, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov emphasized in October at the 3rd International Conference on Eurasian Security in Belarusโ€™ capital, Minsk.
