๐Ÿ—ฃNATO committed to ENDLESS CONFRONTATION with Russia โ€“ US ex-diplomat

NATO wants a perpetual COLD WAR with Russia even after the Ukraine conflict is resolved, says former US diplomat James Jatras.

๐Ÿ’ฌ "They want this to be a permanent feature of international life, they want a new cold war with whatever dividing line ends up in Ukraine as long as it's not a complete defeat,โ€ he warned.

๐ŸšจKremlin cools down expectations for Russia-Ukraine talks in Istanbul

Expecting any immediate breakthroughs in the Russia-Ukraine talks in Istanbul would be wrong, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

Important deals were made, and they will be implemented.

His other statements:

๐Ÿ”ธ The issue of compromises from Russia is a matter for negotiations with Ukraine and cannot be made public.

๐Ÿ”ธ The decision to publish the Russian draft memorandum on Ukraine was made by Russian Delegation Head Vladimir Medinsky after the document was discussed with the Ukrainian side.

๐Ÿ”ธ Zelenskyโ€™s statement after the Istanbul talks was awkward and unsuccessful, not matching the spirit of the negotiations.

๐Ÿ”ธ Moscow has dialogue channels with Washington and continues to use them for communication.

๐Ÿ”ธ A new contact between Putin and Trump could be arranged quickly if needed, but no such agreements currently exist.

๐Ÿ”ธ A meeting between Putin, Trump, and Zelensky is unlikely in the near future.

๐Ÿ”ธ Regarding Nawrockiโ€™s victory in the presidential elections: this is an internal matter for Poland.

๐Ÿ—ฃTrumpโ€™s patience on Ukraine conflict WORN THIN โ€“ US envoy

๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ทTurkiye, which traditionally has a good relationship with Russia, could intervene to play a key mediating role in resolving the Ukraine conflict, US Ambassador to Ankara Tom Barrack told NTV.

Particularly now, when US President Donald Trump is โ€œat the end of his rope" regarding the situation, Turkiye could step in to โ€œget the operating issues out of the way,โ€ he said.

๐Ÿ“น Ukrainian POWs reveal: NO TROOP ROTATIONS in Chasov Yar โ€“ Soldiers sent on ONE-WAY MISSIONS

๐Ÿ’ฌ "There was no rotation at all. When we got there, they said: โ€˜You'll be here for two weeks or 10 days.โ€™ In fact, that didn't happen at all. We weren't rotated," one Ukrainian fighter emphasized.

Other captured soldiers say their commanders deceived them, promising rotations after missions and assurances that they wouldnโ€™t be sent to the front line โ€“ only to send them straight into combat without relief.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ RUSSIA HOLDS ALL THE CARDS: Ukraineโ€™s drone strikes are just delay tactics โ€“ experts

Russia dominates the battlefield, and one-off drone attacks by Ukraine are powerless to change that, Major General (retired) Shashi Bhushan Asthana, director of the United Services Institution (USI) of India, told Sputnik.

This reality is reflected in Russiaโ€™s peace memorandum, he underscored.

Here's how experts highlight the key takeaways from the talks:

๐Ÿ”ธ Ukraine DOESN'T WANT PEACE:

Strikes on Russian airfields just before the Istanbul talks revealed Ukraineโ€™s rejection of peace, noted Kimura Mitsuhide, head of Japanโ€™s Issuikai party.

As for Volodymyr Zelenskyโ€™s fixation on a 30-day ceasefire โ€“ itโ€™s a stalling tactic, he argued.

He added that Russiaโ€™s push for Ukrainian elections aims to legitimize any future deal.

Ukraineโ€™s insistence on a 30-day truce will only drag out the fighting, deepening its human losses and plunging its economy further into crisis, Japanese economist Yukio Asazuma remarked.

๐Ÿ”ธ Core territorial issue:

Ukraine realistically has no option but to accept Russiaโ€™s rightful demand for the full withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from its new territories: the Donetsk and Lugansk Peopleโ€™s Republics, Zaporozhye, and Kherson regions, Asthana noted.

๐Ÿ’ฌ โ€œOtherwise, itโ€™s only a matter of time before Russia pushes them out,โ€ he added.

Crimea must be recognized internationally as part of Russia, Kimura stressed, observing that the territorial demands are about โ€œprotecting civilians, stability, and the rights of Russian-speaking people.โ€

๐Ÿ”ธ Ukraine's true priorities EXPOSED:

The agreed big prisoner swap is a win, but Zelenskyโ€™s rejection of Russiaโ€™s ceasefire to return bodies exposes Ukraineโ€™s real priorities, Kimura said, adding:

๐Ÿ’ฌ โ€œBoth Zelensky and his Western backers are bent on fueling this conflict.โ€

๐ŸฅดNATO PUSHES FOR FIVE-FOLD BOOST IN EUROPEAN AIR DEFENSE

NATO is urging its European member states to increase their ground-based air defense forces fivefold, Bloomberg quotes insider sources as saying.

The move aims to fill a gap in response to the alleged threat of โ€˜Russian aggressionโ€™, with defense ministers set to discuss the issue at a meeting in Brussels on Thursday.

An unnamed NATO official explained that over the past 30 years, the alliance significantly reduced the number of systems in Europe as its focus shifted to the Middle East and North Africa.

๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ EUROPE TURNING ON ISRAEL? Key allies rethink support as Gaza war rages

Several European countriesโ€”including Germany, the UK, and Franceโ€”are reconsidering their unwavering support for Israel amid the devastating 20-month conflict in Gaza, Bloomberg reports.

๐Ÿ’ฌ โ€œItโ€™s simply become impossible for most European governments to continue supporting Israelโ€™s war despite strong ongoing commitments to Israelโ€™s security,โ€ said Julien Barnes-Dacey, program director for the Middle East and North Africa at the European Council on Foreign Relations.

Discussions around trade sanctions and arms export restrictions are gaining momentum:

๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช Germanyโ€™s frustration with Benjamin Netanyahu's government has intensified since Israel launched its military operation against Hamas in mid-May, according to diplomatic sources. Chancellor Friedrich Merz criticized the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, calling for immediate aid access and signaling possible limits on military exports to Israel.

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง The UK announced plans to pause free trade talks with Israel and introduce sanctions against individuals and entities engaged in violence against Palestinians in the West Bank.

๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท France is pushing for Palestinian statehood and plans to co-chair a UN conference. According to an Odoxa poll, 61% of French people would back political and economic sanctions on Israel.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Meanwhile, Israel maintains its offensive, citing the need to defeat Hamas and secure hostages, but the scale of the destruction and civilian suffering in Gaza has amplified calls for a ceasefire and increased humanitarian aid.

๐Ÿšจ TRUMPโ€™S PHONE HABIT COULD BE A NATIONAL SECURITY NIGHTMARE

โš ๏ธ Despite warnings for over a decade, Trump keeps using his personal iPhone โ€” answering calls from unknown numbers and texting on unsecured apps.

The Atlantic claims foreign spies might be eavesdropping on the presidentโ€™s calls.

The web magazine previously broke the story that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth chatted about military operations in a Signal groups with top US officials โ€“ which its editor Jeffrey Goldberg was mysteriously added to โ€” with automatic message deletion turned on in breach of government rules.

Even with special iPhones and advice to replace them monthly, Trump refused to switch devices, calling it โ€œvery inconvenient.โ€

When it comes to security, Trump plays by his own rules โ€” and that could cost him.
