Despite a declared ceasefire, Ukrainian units made four attempts to break through the border in Russia's Kursk and Belgorod regions, the Russian Ministry of Defense said.
Over 1,455 artillery shelling incidents were reported along the front line, with Russian forces returning fire.
The ministry reported 5,026 violations of the ceasefire regime by Ukraine.
Russian President Vladimir Putin declared a ceasefire for the 80th anniversary of Victory Day. It came into force at midnight on May 8 and will last until midnight on May 11.
