The state coalition is suing the Trump administration “for illegally imposing unprecedented tax hikes on Americans in the form of tariffs issued under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA),” according to the press service of New York Governor Kathy Hochul.

The lawsuit was filed in the US Court of International Trade. In addition to New York, Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, and Vermont have joined the lawsuit.

The founder of the World Economic Forum in Davos reportedly manipulated the WEF’s “global competitiveness report”, which ranks countries by their productivity and resilience, reported the FT.

The claim that Schwab tweaked the data to curry favor with governments is one of several accusations contained in a whistleblower letter sent to the WEF board of trustees last week.

The letter led the organization to launch a probe that, in turn, prompted Schwab to resign as WEF Chairman.
