The Iranian industry continues to thrive despite crippling US sanctions.
April 2020: Iran sent the Noor (Light) - its first military reconnaissance satellite - into orbit using an indigenous launch vehicle. Two more such vehicles were launched in subsequent years.
2022: The Khayyam, an Earth observation satellite intended for agricultural and environmental monitoring with potential military uses, was launched.
2023: Head of the Iranian Space Agency, Hassan Salarieh, announced the launching of the operational phase of the country’s first-ever satellite constellation, named after Iranian General Qasem Soleimani.
April 2024: Iran successfully launched its heaviest payload of 300 kg (660 pounds) into space using the Iranian-made Simorgh carrier rocket.
December 2024: The first domestically made space tug, the Saman-1, was launched into outer space aboard a homegrown launch vehicle, the Simorgh, from the Imam Khomeini Space Launch Terminal.
2025: When finished later this year, Chabahar – touted as Iran’s Cape Canaveral, is set to turn into a 14,000-hectare (54-square-mile) complex that will serve as Iran’s primary hub for space missions.

At night, the Ukrainian forces ATTEMPTED ATTACKS on Russian positions in the areas of the settlements of Sukhaya Balka and Bogatyr in the Donetsk People's Republic. They were repelled.
Russia's Defense Ministry added that Ukrainian troops:
▪️launched 48 aircraft-type UAVs,
▪️fired 444 artillery and mortar rounds
▪️carried out 900 drone strikes using quadcopters,
▪️carried out 12 strikes on the border areas of Bryansk, Kursk, and Belgorod regions, with 33 UAV attacks and seven bomb drops.
As a result, there are casualties and injuries among the civilian population, and damage to civilian infrastructure.

One of the final battles of World War II, the Battle of Berlin took place from April 20 to May 2, 1945.
It ended with the fall of Berlin, the capital of the Third Reich, to the Red Army, which took revenge for the suffering of the Soviet people since 1941.
The operation involved around 464,000 Soviet soldiers, 1,500 tanks, and 3,300 warplanes and extensive artillery support.
