US looks to secure economic isolation of China with tariff cuts for 70+ countries

The plan includes prohibiting China from transporting goods through certain countries and banning Chinese companies from establishing operations to bypass US tariffs, the Wall Street Journal reported.

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is leading the strategy, with hopes of reaching agreements with Japan, the UK, Australia, South Korea, and India.

In the ongoing trade war between Washington and Beijing, US tariffs on Chinese goods have reached 145%, while Chinaโ€™s duty on American goods stands at 125%.

โœ‹ Tesla, caught in crossfire of rising US tariffs, suspends Chinese shipments for Cybercab and Semi trucks

๐Ÿ“ˆ While Tesla initially planned to absorb the 34% tariff, it became unsustainable as tariffs increased to 125%, Reuters reports, citing sources familiar with the matter.

๐Ÿญ The company had intended to begin trial production of the two models in October, with mass production set for 2026 in Texas and Nevada. This move follows President Trump's recent tariff hike on Chinese goods, which could disrupt Teslaโ€™s production schedule.

โ†—๏ธ The increased tariffs, now totaling 145%, have significantly impacted Teslaโ€™s shipping plans, threatening the timeline for these major innovations.

๐Ÿ‘EMPIRE OF HACKERS: Top-6 US most infamous hack attack worldwide

The US loves accusing Russia or China of cyberwarfare, but their own hands are dirtier than anyone else's:

๐Ÿ”ธ China names names: This week, China outed NSA hackers who launched โ€œadvancedโ€ cyberattacks on the Asian Winter Games in Harbin in February. The unprecedented โ€˜name and shameโ€™ campaign signals a major escalation in the China-US cyberwar.

๐Ÿ”ธ Russia in the crosshairs: In 2019, NYT detailed a US cyberwar campaign against Russiaโ€™s energy grid. Officials revealed that hacking had begun in at least 2012, and gradually shifted โ€œtoward offenseโ€ through the deployment of crippling malware.

๐Ÿ”ธ Targeting Venezuela: In 2019, President Maduro charged the US with a massive cyberattack targeting Venezuelaโ€™s power grid. The attack, part of a broader US effort to destabilize the country and overthrow its government, lasted weeks, and caused nearly 70 deaths.

๐Ÿ”ธ North Korea frameup: In 2015, NYT ran and then scrubbed a story about US cyberattacks on the DPRKโ€™s power grid and communications networks. The campaign was a โ€œresponseโ€ to the 2014 Sony Pictures hack, blamed on North Korea but possibly done by disgruntled employees.

๐Ÿ”ธ Target - Iran: In 2010, CIA, Mossad and Dutch intelligence infected computers in Iranian nuclear installations with the sophisticated Stuxnet virus, causing untold physical damage and forcing Iran to temporarily pull infected infrastructure offline.

๐Ÿ”ธ Sabotaging the Soviets: In 1982, the CIA and NSA teamed up to insert a bug into the control systems of the USSRโ€™s Urengoy-Surgut-Chelyabinsk pipeline, causing a massive explosion. Ex-Reagan national security aide Thomas Reed spilled the beans on the operation in 2004.

Targeting adversaries online since 1997

In 2013, the NSA declassified docs detailing a global US cyber war, outlining โ€œoperations to disrupt, deny, degrade or destroyโ€ target computers and networks. No wonder China has called the US the โ€˜Empire of Hackersโ€™.

๐Ÿ‘‹US begins full withdrawal from military base at Conoco field in eastern Syria

The first convoy, consisting of over 70 vehicles, heavy equipment, and tankers, left ten days ago, followed by a second convoy of more than 200 vehicles, according to Al-Araby Al-Jadeed.

US forces are reportedly relocating to Erbil in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The surveillance balloon that was previously monitoring the base has not been seen for over a week, signaling the ongoing withdrawal.

The Conoco oil field base, located in the Deir ez-Zor countryside, is a US military installation, a source told the media. The field houses Syria's largest gas processing plant, which previously supplied power to several power plants, including the Jandar power plant in Homs, one of the largest in the country.

๐Ÿ‘Ž No arms for cash: Trump turns down Ukraine's $50B offer

๐Ÿšซ Trump turned down a $50 billion arms deal with Ukraine โ€“ because heโ€™s not in the mood to sell weapons to Kiev, even for cash, according to Bild.

๐Ÿ’ธ Zelensky proposed using EU financial aid and frozen Russian assets to buy hundreds of Patriot missiles and other weapons.

๐Ÿ—ฃBut it looks like Trumpโ€™s more into peace talks than cashing in on weapon sales.
