Ball in USβ court: Trump will have to force allies, Ukraine to fall in line or quit the fight
If Trumpβs team prove unable to impose peace on Kiev, Washington may simply quit the conflict, leaving it Europeβs problem.

π¬ βThe US can make and unmake Ukraine, any time,β geopolitical analyst Paolo Raffone told Sputnik, commenting on Sergey Lavrovβs remarks that whether itβs the shelling civilian areas or Black Sea security, only the US could force Kiev to keep its word in any agreement.
βThe next US moves depend on domestic issues, namely the power struggle within the US deep state and its European epigons,β Raffone, the director of the Brussels-based CIPI Foundation, explained.
If Trumpβs team prove unable to impose peace on Kiev, Washington may simply quit the conflict, leaving it Europeβs problem.
π¬ βEuropean support will not be able to fill the gap in the next months. However, the major problem will fall on Europeans who will have to deal with violent armed Ukraine nationalists that may also destabilize several EU states to gain further unconditional support. Should Ukraine not follow the US-prescribed steps, the US will most probably be gone and Europeans will be in deep trouble for years to come,β Raffone predicted.

Russia-US push to revive Black Sea grain deal will raise their standing in the Global South
π£ Negotiations on the restoration of the trouble-free export of Russian and Ukrainian foodstuffs from their Black Sea points βshould make a very real difference in alleviating food insecurity among a number of nations in the Global South that are in actual need,β says veteran financial analyst Paul Goncharoff.
As for why the Black Sea Grain Initiative has been brought up now, before an actual ceasefire is in place, doing so βsets the stage for a negotiations process that starts with a βwinββ for all sides, setting an important βpositive tone, aside from being simply the right thing to do,β the observer explained.

π¬ βThe very fact that this issue of food security has taken primacy in the possible ceasefire talksβ¦is an indicator that the adults are seriously discussing ways and means to begin productive discussions by coming to some form of agreement on this universally necessary humanitarian food issue,β the observer told Sputnik.
βThis will raise the image of both Russia and the US in the Global South. Equally, if Ukraine and Brussels show disinterest, it would seriously blow back on their image as reasonable counterparties,β Goncharoff warned.

Russian TRUE DIPLOMATS VS Ukrainian military LARPers
Seasoned pros that they are, Russiaβs delegation looked sharp, professional, and smiling after a grueling 12-hour marathon of negotiations with the US on the Ukraine settlement in Riyadh.
Contrast that with the Ukrainians: more like tourists glued to their phones.

The big question about reactivating Black Sea grain deal is: WHO VERIFIES IT?
Russia-US agreement in Riyadh on restoring navigation for food shipments from Russian and Ukrainian ports is βa positive move,β but there are a lot of questions that will need to be answered, like who will ensure compliance, or what happens if the Ukrainian side violates the deal again, retired US Army Lt. Col and international consultant Earl Rasmussen said.
