Twelve people die in plane crash off Honduras
The Jetstream 32 plane of the Lanhsa air carrier crashed shortly after taking off from the airport on the island of Roatan on Monday.
Earlier in the day, the Honduran Civil Aviation Authority (AHAC) said that a Lanhsa plane carrying 17 people crashed off Roatan during a commercial flight to the municipality of La Ceiba in northern Honduras.
Famous Honduran musician Aurelio Martinez Suazo was reportedly among the dead in the crash. Suazo was one of the main representatives of the culture and music of the Garifuna people.

They were inside his home in Gaza City when it was hit by an airstrike, according to Hamas sources and relatives cited by Reuters.
Mahmoud Abu Watfa, the Director General of the Hamas Interior Ministry, who oversaw the Hamas police force, and Issam Aldialis, the commander of internal security, were also among those killed, Ynet wrote.
The newspaper published a photo of the killed Hamas officials, and reported the elimination of two more individuals without mentioning their names.
