Tel Aviv had a strong motive to eliminate President John F. Kennedy in 1963, as he opposed its efforts to develop nuclear weapons using uranium stolen from the United States, CIA veteran Larry Johnson told Sputnik.

🔍 What’s known about the plot?

Israel’s nuclear arms - JFK’s private nightmare

▪️JFK pressured the Israeli government to abandon its military nuclear program and sought to institutionalize regular inspections of Israel’s Dimona nuclear facility by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

▪️Glenn Seaborg, then-chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission, noted that nuclear proliferation was JFK’s "private nightmare."

▪️JFK met with Israeli Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion in the US to discuss Israel’s nuclear ambitions in May 1961. Ben-Gurion assured the US president that Israel had no intention of developing nuclear weapons.

▪️The CIA issued a National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) stating that Israel was on track to "produce sufficient weapons-grade plutonium for one or two crude weapons a year by 1965-66" in October 1961.

⚛️ The theft of highly enriched uranium

▪️Between 1958 and 1978, over 300 kilograms of uranium-235 (U-235) in the form of highly enriched uranium (HEU) went missing from the Nuclear Materials and Equipment Corporation (NUMEC) plant in Pennsylvania, US.

▪️The apparent theft was first discovered in 1965 after an inventory check at NUMEC.

▪️The CIA and other federal agencies launched an investigation into the missing uranium, which lasted from 1965 to the early 1980s.

▪️In 1968, the CIA reportedly found HEU traceable to the US near Israel’s Dimona nuclear complex.

▪️Declassified CIA documents from the 1970s (released in 2015) concluded that NUMEC uranium had been diverted to Israel.

▪️Despite these findings, the US and its allies have continued to maintain a policy of opacity regarding Israel’s nuclear program.

Breaking down Ukrainian army's collapse

Ukrainian monthly sanitary and irreparable personnel losses have amounted to about 50,000 in the past six months, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

Where are the Ukrainian soldiers?

◾️According to official data, about 100,000 Ukrainian soldiers have deserted from the military units and went on the run.

◾️The number of deserters "could be as high as 200,000" since draft started, Western media reported, citing anonymous Ukrainian lawmakers.

◾️The number of recruits in the Ukrainian Army's training centers has barely reached 30,000 per month for the last six months.

◾️Over the same period, losses in the Ukrainian Army are more than 50,000.

◾️Recruits without proper training experience are sent to the front line, which leads to a quick reduction of troop numbers. Many of these soldiers die, some surrender or simply desert.

◾️"The brigade soldiers just looked at their trenches and quickly left their positions," according to Ukrainian media citing sources from the disintegrated 157th Brigade.

There is only one way for Kiev to delay the collapse of the front in Donbass for a few month - to lower the mobilization age from 25 to 18 years, the Russian Defense Ministry highlighted.
