🇺🇸US President Joe Biden during a press conference delivered an update regarding the Ukraine crisis. Here are some highlights:
🔹Biden said he believes Russia will attack Ukraine in coming weeks or coming days and may even target Kiev.
🔹The US president claimed he was convinced Russian President Vladimir Putin has made a decision to invade Ukraine, but does not believe Putin is contemplating using nuclear weapons.
🔹Biden reiterated that the US would not send troops to fight in Ukraine but would continue to support the Ukrainian people.

🗽 Mayor Eric Adams announced a new plan Friday to clean up the city’s subway system by cracking down on rule-breaking and preventing people from living on the trains and stations.
“No more smoking. No more doing drugs. No more sleeping. No more doing barbecues on the subway system. No more just doing whatever you want,” he said.
Adams said teams of outreach workers and NYPD cops would start canvassing the subways next week to identify mentally ill and homeless people who need to be removed and will work to get them the treatment and housing they need.

🔎 A Texas grand jury indicted 19 Austin police officers on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for their actions during 2020 protests over racial injustice that spread nationwide following the killing of George Floyd, according to people familiar with the matter.
Word of the indictments came hours after Austin city leaders approved paying $10 million to two people injured by members of the 1,640-officer department in the protests, including a college student who suffered brain damage after an officer shot him with a beanbag round.
Earlier this month, The Austin American-Statesman reported that a $150,000 settlement was approved for a woman named Ariana Chavez, who was shot in the head with less-lethal munitions resulting in a concussion. At least 19 people were hospitalized in Austin following the protests.

▪️ 25,000 residents of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People's Republic and 6,600 people from the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic have crossed the Russian border;
▪️ Kiev has repeatedly violated the Minsk agreements by using banned 120-mm mortars against the DPR and LPR;
