The head of the FBI has warned of an unprecedented number of threats to US security. 

The FBI is facing an increasing terrorist threat "both domestically and internationally", as well as intellectual property theft and cyberattacks on electoral infrastructure, FBI Director Christopher Wray told the Associated Press.

"The country is facing heightened threats from many corners at a time when law enforcement agencies are struggling," he added.

▪️Kiev regime lost more than 4,700 militants and 68 tanks during an operation in Russia's Kursk region, according to the Russian Defense Ministry;

▪️Ukrainian loses amounted over 300 militants in Kursk region over the past day;

▪️Russian forces repelled Ukrainian attacks near two Kursk villages and thwarted attacks in the direction of five more. Ukraine lost more than 45 troops.

🇮🇩 Mass protests have broken out in Indonesia following amendments to the regional election law. 

The Indonesian Parliament recently set a minimum age of 30 years at the time of inauguration (rather than voting) for regional election candidates, despite a ruling by the Constitutional Court. This change would allow President Joko Widodo's son to run in the elections.

On Thursday, protesters in Jakarta tore down the gates of Parliament (as seen in the video), preventing the ratification of the new law for now.

Artyom Kuznetsov, a resident of Sudzha, Kursk region, told Sputnik details of how his pregnant wife was shot by a Ukrainian soldier when they evacuated.

Kuznetsov and his 28-year-old wife, Nina, along with their son, Matvey, who is just over one and a half years old, and his mother-in-law, evacuated from the village of Kurilovka on August 6. The family left in 2 cars. Artyom drove alone in one car while his wife went in another with their son and his mother-in-law.

West tries to distance itself from Ukraine’s incursion into Russia as Kiev’s troops loot and pillage: latest updates

Losses sustained by Ukrainian forces during their incursion into the Kursk Region have surpassed 4,700 servicemen, the Russian Ministry of Defense said.

🔸 The incursion also cost Ukraine a large amount of military hardware, including 68 tanks, 27 infantry fighting vehicles, 53 armored personnel carriers, 336 armored vehicles, ten multiple launch rocket systems (including three HIMARS and one MLRS) and five surface-to-air missile systems, the Ministry added.

🔸 Hungary has condemned Ukraine's incursion into Russian territory, with Gergely Gulyas, Minister in the Hungarian Prime Minister's Office, stating that such actions run counter to efforts aimed at negotiating a ceasefire and resolving the conflict peacefully.

🔸 Rafael Grossi, head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), has expressed concerns regarding military activity in close proximity to the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant, suggesting that the reactor core might be at risk due to the ongoing hostilities.

🔸 German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has asserted that Ukraine's assault on the Kursk Region was planned "very secretly and without feedback." This assertion surfaced amidst reports that at least one US private military company may have participated in the incursion, raising questions about potential Western involvement in Kiev's latest military operations.
