The turnout in Russia's presidential elections as of 8:40 Moscow time on the second day of voting was 36.5%, according to data provided by the CEC Information Center.
One of the ways the election commissions across Russia ensure the transparency of the voting process in through the presence of international observers, who monitor different aspects at the polling stations. Following the first day, Sputnik got exclusive comments from some foreign observers, who shared their positive impressions on how smooth the voting runs, the security of E-voting, and new technical equipment available at the stations.
