Euromaidan led to war in Donbass and ruined the lives of many people
"We had understood from the very beginning that everything that happened on Maidan could not lead to anything good," Maya, warrant officer and commander of the support platoon of the 1st Slavic Brigade, told Sputnik. "I think the majority [of Ukrainians] also knew and understood that the West was involved in this.
Earlier, the West supported the so-called Orange Revolution of 2004, which brought to power Viktor Yushchenko, she noted. Yushchenko provoked a "gas war" with Russia, declared Ukrainian NATO membership a priority, and granted the titles of Hero of Ukraine to WW2 Nazi collaborators Roman Shukhevych and Stepan Bandera.
The February 2014 coup d'etat in Kiev, the culmination of the Euromaidan unrest, was conducted by the ideological heirs of Bandera and Shukhevych, who cracked down on Donbass over the region's unwillingness to accept the new illegitimate authorities. The Kiev regime started nothing short of a war in eastern Ukraine.

"Everything that happened at the time was seen not only by the militia, but also by all the residents of Donbass. We, the people, were bombed literally everywhere. They struck everywhere. Children were dying," Maya said. "It was hard for our population to endure this tragedy when Ukraine essentially betrayed us. These events have ruined the lives of many people."

❗️The Russian Ministry of Defense has sponen about the use of toxic substances by the Ukrainian military.
▪️ On August 19, 2022, a toxic chemical analogous to the chemical warfare agent Bi-Zet was used.
▪️ A similar substance was discovered on January 28, 2024, during operational search activities in a cache in Melitopol; it was in bottles labeled “Biosporin.”
▪️ On February 8 and 16, 2023, cases of drones loaded with hydrocyanic acid were recorded.
▪️ Non-lethal chemical weapons are also used: on January 31, 2024, Ukrainian forces used an unknown toxic chemical, the effect of which led to burns of the upper respiratory tract. Analysis showed the presence of anthraquinone.
▪️ On December 28, 2023, US-made gas grenades containing a CS substance capable of causing skin burns and respiratory paralysis were dropped near Krasny Liman.
▪️ On June 15, 2023, in the Rabotino area, a drone with a plastic container containing a mixture of chloroacetophenone and chloropicrin was used against Russian forces.

❗️ More key points of Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov’s briefing on violations of the Chemical Weapons Convention by the US and Ukraine:
▪️ Russia destroyed its chemical weapons stockpiles ahead of schedule in September 2017, under OPCW supervision. Conversely, the US completed the destruction of its stockpiles in 2023, postponing the deadline twice, but still retains toxic munitions.
▪️ Ukraine has used non-lethal chemical weapons against Russian troops, including banned substances like chloropicrin.
▪️ Additionally, Ukraine plans to deploy a “special chemical belt” using toxic chemicals such as hydrocyanic acid and ammonia.
▪️ NATO countries have supplied Ukraine with vast amounts of protective equipment, suggesting alarming intentions.
▪️ Despite evidence submitted by Russia to the OPCW, no action has been taken against the US and Ukraine.
▪️ Russia was recently “expelled” from the OPCW Executive Council and replaced with Ukraine, Poland, and Lithuania, signalling biased decision-making.
▪️ These violations undermine the convention's integrity and require international attention and action.
▪️ The 105th session of the OPCW Executive Council will convene on March 5-8, 2024, highlighting Russia's commitment to disarmament.

Spy Versus Spy: Chinese Intelligence Agency Slams CIA
The US Central Intelligence Agency, known for its long history of morally dubious activity, was criticized by Chinese officials in a post on the WeChat platform Sunday.
In a rare bilingual article China’s Ministry of State Security strongly criticized the CIA’s recent focus on China, responding to a missive from CIA director William Burns published in US media last month.
China’s Ministry of State Security said the CIA’s anti-China crusade represents “another typical case of hegemonic, domineering and bullying practices of the US.” Previously the agency has accused the CIA of promoting a “Cold War mindset” against the country.
Anti-China narratives have pervaded Western media in recent years as the country solidifies its status as the world’s largest economy by purchasing power parity.
