Exhaustion and falling morale: Ukrainian soldiers share their frontline experiences with US media

Ukrainian troops are experiencing an acute shortage of infantry, the military is physically exhausted, and its morale is falling, the Washington Post reported, citing Ukrainian Army soldiers and commanders.

The Ukrainian military believes that the shortage of personnel could have a domino effect, especially in winter, when weather conditions are difficult.

The reports of acute troop shortages come as President Zelensky is reportedly preparing to replace his military chief, General Zaluzhny. The question of how many new soldiers Ukraine needs to mobilize has been among the major stumbling blocks between the two. Zaluzhny previously told Zelensky that Ukraine needs nearly 500,000 new troops, but the latter privately and publicly pushed back on that figure.

Hundreds of mercenaries from Colombia have been joining the Ukrainian Army amid increasing losses during Russia’s special military operation, the AP has reported.

More and more Spanish-speaking mercenaries are being spotted in hospitals treating soldiers wounded in battle against Russian forces. One of these mercenaries, call sign “Checho,” found himself at the center of a rescue operation, endeavoring to aid another mercenary injured during three consecutive days of intense clashes with Russian troops. The group came under attack by Russian drones, and amid the chaos, shrapnel from a grenade dropped by one of the drones pierced his jawbone.

"I thought I was going to die," AP quoted him as saying.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that Ukraine had stepped up its recruitment of mercenaries to hide its heavy losses during the failed counteroffensive. However, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu emphasized that the Russian Army has been successfully eliminating foreign mercenaries involved in the conflict.

🔺The American public is fuming over the fact that prominent US news commentator Tucker Carlson has been added to Ukraine’s Mirotvorets ("Peacekeeper") "kill list", a notorious online database that doxxes people who it calls "enemies of Ukraine". This site has been operating unhindered for almost a decade as an online lynch mob targeting opponents of the Kiev regime.

🔺Founded in March 2014, shortly after the Pro-Nazi February coup in Kiev, the Mirotvorets Center, a so-called public organization, is headed by Roman Zaitsev, a former employee of the Ukrainian special services.

🔺The Mirotvorets website, which is reportedly controlled by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), was created at the initiative of adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko.

🔺The main page of the Mirotvorets website lists Langley, Virginia, the home of the CIA, and Warsaw, Poland as its official home base. It contains brutal, graphic images of dead and mutilated human corpses and calls for slaughtering Russians and other so-called "enemies" of Ukraine.

🔺An analysis of the network protocol used by the Mirotvorets site's domain indicates that it utilizes services from a tech company based in California.

🔺The Mirotvorets database consists of extensive personal information, including the names of Ukrainian and foreign journalists, politicians, opposition figures, bloggers, and even children. Shockingly, the "kill list" on this database includes the personal information of no less than 327 underage children, as reported by the Foundation to Battle Injustice.
