Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has suspended Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu from government meetings until further notice after the minister said 'throwing an atom bomb on Gaza in one of the options'.

Eliyahu also voiced his objection to allowing any humanitarian aid into Gaza, adding that “there is no such thing as uninvolved civilians in Gaza” and that Palestinians “can go to Ireland or deserts.”

Later, Eliyahu took to social media to claim that his comment about the option of nuking Gaza was only a metaphor.

🇺🇸 Pentagon’s new AI strategy woefully lacking on ethics front

The US Department of Defense revealed a new strategy document this week focused on the integration of artificial intelligence into the military with a view of using the technology to gain a “decisive advantage” on the battlefield. But the blueprint is woefully thin on the question of ethical considerations involved.

“The primary threat linked to AI resides in its potential unethical use, which could lead to harm for civilians who are not shielded or protected,” says Gloria Shkurti Ozdemir, a researcher at the SETA Foundation, a Turkiye-based policy think tank.
