π£οΈ US complicit in Israelβs attacks on civilians in Gaza
"Now we say we're trying to restrain Israel. Well, of course, with those images coming out of there, we have to sort of play a little bit nice with our public because, you know, 'We told them, we told them, please, please don't do the worst.' But in the second breath, we will say, that is our prominent spokespeople will say, 'Well, you know, we can't tell Israel what to do. Israel's got the threat there,'" Ray McGovern, former CIA analyst and activist, told Sputnik.

π¨π³ China has launched its 40th Antarctic expedition to build a new Antarctic station near the Ross Sea. However, Beijing's scientific research has drawn sharp criticism from the United States and Australia, which have accused the People's Republic of building surveillance facilities at the South Pole to eavesdrop on Canberra. China has dismissed the allegation as absurd.
Meanwhile, Australia is considering increasing its strategic presence in Antarctica under the pretext of a potential threat from "hostile" nations. Australia's plans appear to challenge the South Pole neutrality provisions of the 1959 Antarctic Treaty.
π£ "Dual civilian/military activities pose an increasing threat and there will be a need for increasing oversight to ensure military, and intelligence collection activities do not take hold in Antarctica," Donald R. Rothwell, Professor of International Law at the College of Law, Australian National University, told Sputnik.

π΅π Filipino President Bongbong Marcos was βfoolishβ to turn his back on Chinaβs Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) for trade and security, Peace activist and writer KJ Noh told Sputnik.
π£ "Marcos has put all of his chips into a losing bet. The multipolar world is rising, linked to the economic infrastructure of the Belt and Road. It's the largest global construction project on the planet," Noh said. "Essentially, they're saying that we side with the United States in its war against China, and economic benefit and win and neutral growth be damned."

π£οΈ On the three wars the US is bracing:
"We got a three front war going on: we got Israel who has a blank check, whatever the US wants to give them, in fact we're giving them more than they're asking; and you've got Ukraine, which is desperate now for funds that continue to stay afloat; and then you got the preparations for the war with China, the economic war that's going on right now. So three wars, the US is in a three front preparation for war here. This is a totally different world, and the US economy is so financially fragile now and there's a huge debt going into it," Jack Rasmus, economist, radio show host & author, told Sputnik.
