Key points of Russian MoD briefing on progress of special military op in Ukraine:

▪️In the Donetsk direction, the Russian army successfully repelled an attack by Ukrainian troops in the Kleshcheevka area, resulting in the loss of 115 soldiers, a tank, nine infantry fighting vehicles, and eight Bradleys for the Ukrainian side;

▪️In the South Donetsk direction, the Ukrainian forces suffered losses of 165 soldiers and seven tanks;

▪️In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian army successfully repelled two attacks by Ukrainian troops in the Sinkovka area;

▪️Near Krasny Liman, Russian forces repelled two attacks by Ukrainian troops in the Chervonaya Dibrova area, thereby handing Ukraine a total loss of up to 60 servicemen;

▪️In the Zaporozhye and Kherson directions, the Kiev regime's forces suffered a loss of 130 soldiers;

▪️The Russian army targeted and hit a Ukrainian Su-27 aircraft at the Mirgorod airfield. Additionally, four Storm Shadow cruise missiles and three Neptune anti-ship missiles were successfully downed.

Several Latin American countries have shown interest in a nuclear technology center that is being built by Russian state corporation Rosatom in Bolivia, and are participating in commercial negotiations, Rosatom Overseas President Evgeny Pakermanov told Sputnik.

🗣 "By creating these capacities in Bolivia, we are confirming Rosatom's leadership in the field of non-power nuclear technologies. Therefore, the answer is yes, there is interest [from other countries]. And this is not just one country, but several. I will not name them because the commercial negotiations have not been completed yet," Pakermanov said.

He added that this project was important for Russia as a project for the whole Latin America, not just for Bolivia, as the interest in it would only grow after it was completed.

Israel risks damaging its relations with the Arab world including with the signatories of the US brokered Abraham Accords, Dr. Ahmed Al Ibrahim, a Riyadh-based political analyst, told Sputnik.

He presumed that those Arab States who have inked treaties with Israel would temporarily suspend cooperation with Tel Aviv, but ruled out any break with the Abraham Accords, as the latter would be needed to further facilitate the Mideast peace process.

🇨🇳 How many nukes does China have?

The Pentagon’s latest report on China’s military might claims that Beijing currently has 500 nuclear warheads and is on track to surpass 1,000 such warheads by 2030.

While the report cannot be independently verified, it’s worth bearing in mind that China does not provide any information about its military forces, including its nuclear capabilities.

Beijing and Washington are expected to focus on nuclear arms control and nuclear non-proliferation next week, which will be the first such talks since the Obama administration.

"No," said Kirby, when asked by a reporter during a press briefing if Biden was concerned about Israel potentially violating international law.

"We've been saying it since the very beginning. . . that we want to see our good friend and partner abide by our shared commitments to the respect for civilian life and the respect for the laws of war," Kirby elaborated.

📊 American views on supporting Ukraine have shifted, with a growing percentage of the public saying the US is "doing too much," according to a Gallup poll released Thursday.

Forty-one percent of Americans say the US is "doing too much" – an increase from 29% in June. A third say the US is doing the "right amount," down from 43% in June.

The shift has occurred along partisan lines, with an increasing number of Republicans (62%) and independents (44%) seeing the US as "doing too much" since Gallup began tracking sentiment in August 2022. In contrast, only 14% Democrats hold this view.

Fewer Americans also believe the US should stay in the course, with 43% saying the US should try to end the conflict as quickly as possible even if that means Ukraine cedes territory to Russia.

🇮🇱 Israel Defense Ministry says received 3,000 tonnes of military aid since Oct 7

"As of now, 100 aircraft and 5 ships have delivered to Israel more than 3,000 tonnes of weapons, armored vehicles, protective equipment and body armor, medical equipment and other means," the statement said.

The ministry added that it has purchased equipment worth about 10 billion shekels ($2.5 billion) from Israeli enterprises.
