๐Ÿ›ขRussia and OPEC petroleum exporting countries will continue to account for up to 48% of global oil supply until 2030 and exceed 50% by 2050, when Saudi Arabia boosts production, the International Energy Agency (IEA) said on Tuesday.

"OPEC and Russia's combined share of global oil supply remains between 45โ€“48% to 2030 but it rises above 50% by 2050 as Saudi Arabia increases production," the IEA said in a fresh World Energy Outlook.

Total oil production by OPEC members is set to increase by 1 million barrels per day by 2030, given a decrease of about 1.5 million barrels per day by OPEC producers in Africa. Russia's output is projected to drop by 3.5 million barrels per day between 2022 and 2050, according to the report.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ On Bidenโ€™s war spendings:

โ€œI wish that Mr. Biden would consult the borrowing costs that are now being imposed on the United States government... Washington is picking up the tab for 150,000 Ukrainian civil servants, and now with the Israeli economy about to seize up as a result of the weekend warriors to the tune of 300,000 plus folksโ€ฆ there is a distinct possibility that the United States will have to bail out the Israeli economy. Not to mention, these multi-billion dollar arms packages that Senator Mitch McConnell said not inaccurately would basically redound to the benefit of the US military industrial complex,โ€ Dr. Gerald Horne, Professor of History at the University of Houston and author, told Sputnik.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ On the United States' leading role in the Israel-Palestine conflict on the ground:

โ€œLook, everybody around the world doesn't understand the decision-making that is happening in the West. Because logically, if you want to have prosperity and peace around your world, then you want to have your trade happening, you need peace in the Middle East. This is the transportation knot of all global transportation. And for the United States to be pushing for a continuation of warโ€ฆ This is suicide for the United States itself. So nobody understands what's the logic in the minds of those who are making decisions in the Westโ€ฆ They have now decided that it's better to maintain their supremacy,โ€ Laith Marouf, broadcaster and journalist based in Beirut, told Sputnik.

After some 17 Ukrainian MiG-29 fighters had been downed by Russian forces over a week and a half, former Pentagon Analyst Karen Kwiatkowski says that these aging planes canโ€™t hold a candle to modern Russian warplanes.

โ€œUkraine is the place where these older aircraft go - much as other Western and NATO military weaponry and materials - for their last stand,โ€ Kwiatkowski commented, noting how former Warsaw Pact nations are now seeking to get rid of such hardware. โ€œPolish and Slovakian air forces are flying and purchasing Western jets as part of NATO, no one wants 1970s fighters these days,โ€ she highlighted.

She also suggests that a combination of Western sanctions and the need to do battle against Western military hardware in the Ukrainian conflict zone made Russia โ€œstronger, more capable, and more confident,โ€ and that โ€œthe whole world see this.โ€

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ Israeli Army Delays Start of Ground Operation in Gaza Fearing 'Deadly Traps' - Official

The Israeli military is delaying the start of a full-scale ground operation in the Gaza Strip due to possible "deadly traps," Deputy Director General for Public Diplomacy at the Israeli Foreign Ministry, Emmanuel Nahshon, said on Tuesday.

"We know that had we entered the Gaza Strip on the first, or second or third day we would have fallen into deadly traps and that would have meant also probably very important losses in terms of Israeli soldiers," UK media quoted Nahshon as saying at a briefing in the Israeli city of Sderot.

Therefore, the Israeli military is taking its time as it "needs to prepare the soldiers to this unique situation," the diplomat added.

Let the Abrams hunt begin: how Russian forces prepare for latest 'wonder weapon'

Having finally received the 'promised gifts' from the White House in late September, the Kiev regime is counting on yet another 'wonder weapon' from the West. But will it help the Ukrainian army, given that there is simply no air cover for M1 Abrams tanks, while F-16s are not expected until spring 2024 at the earliest?

US Abrams tanks have made their way to Ukraine, nearly four months into Ukraine's "grand counteroffensive," with media sources confirming the delivery of 31 tanks. The exact timeline for their deployment to the front lines remains uncertain.

Sputnik examines the role these tanks will play in combat and the views of Russian soldiers.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธAnother One Bites the Dust: Tom Emmer Drops From House Speaker Race Hours After Nomination

US House Majority Whip Tom Emmer dropped out of the House speaker race on Tuesday after failing to secure enough support among Republicans.

Emmer's withdrawal came just hours after the House Republican Conference nominated him as speaker-designate, and was prompted by opposition to his bid by more than 20 members.

The Tuesday development marks the third speaker-designee that House Republicans have lost in less than three weeks since the historic ouster of Rep. Kevin McCarthy from the speakership.

๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ What is Known So Far About 'Hostage' Situation in South African Mine?

At least 543 miners have been trapped underground since Sunday night at the GoldOne-East Modderfontein in the Gauteng province of South Africa.

๐Ÿชง The National Union of Mineworkers has categorically denied earlier reports that its members were staging a sit-in. Instead, they point the finger at the Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union (AMCU), accusing it of holding the miners hostage.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that AMCU members have welded shut entry and exit points. This measure leaves only one point of access to the GoldOne property. Mine management has confirmed the incident, but details remain unclear.
