🇪🇺 EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said on Sunday that the European Union had allocated 85 billion euros ($89.8 billion) in support to Ukraine, of which over 25 billion euros had been provided in the form of military assistance.

"Our military support to Ukraine has reached the figure of 25 billion euros. And altogether - military, civilian, humanitarian [aid] - have reached the figure of 85 billion euros, which is… the highest amount in the world," Borrell said at a press conference in Kiev.

💬 ''The average age of soldiers on the front line is over 40. I understand President Zelensky's desire to preserve the young for the future,'' Wallace wrote in a column for a British newspaper. Estonian mercenary Tanel Kriggul has died in Ukraine, an Estonian newspaper reported

He fought as part of the International Legion of Territorial Defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Kriggul's call sign was Stinger. He has been a member of the International Legion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces since 2022. The mercenary died near the city of Krasny Liman in the Donetsk People's Republic.

On Sunday, Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said that two terrorists had carried out an explosion near a ministry building in Ankara. Two police officers were wounded. Turkish newspaper media reported later, citing the interior ministry, that one of the attackers had been identified as a PKK member. Later on Sunday, the Turkish Defense Ministry said that the country's military conducted air strikes against the PKK in northern Iraq and destroyed 20 targets.

Military operations of the Turkish armed forces in northern Iraq and Syria against the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), which is banned in the country, will take on a more active and tough character after the attempted terrorist attack in Ankara, a source in the Turkish presidential administration told Sputnik.

Key points of Russian MoD briefing on progress of special military op in Ukraine:

▪️ The Russian Armed Forces repelled three enemy attacks in the DPR. The enemy losses were up to 180 Ukrainian servicemen killed and wounded, two armoured fighting vehicles, three motor vehicles, as well as two Gvozdika self-propelled artillery systems.

▪️ The Russian Army repelled two Ukrainian attacks in the LPR. The enemy losses amounted to over 60 Ukrainian servicemen killed and wounded and two pickup trucks. In the course of the counter-battery warfare, one Akatsiya self-propelled artillery system, one D-20 howitzer, and one D-30 howitzer were hit.

▪️ In the Zaporozhye direction, the Russian Armed Forces hit enemy manpower and hardware. Up to 35 Ukrainian servicemen, two armoured fighting vehicles, including a Bradley IFV, and three motor vehicles were eliminated. In the course of the counter-battery warfare, one Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system, one M-46 gun, one D-30 howitzer, as well as one AN/TPQ-48 counterbattery warfare radar were eliminated.

▪️ The Russian Army repelled one enemy attack in southern Donetsk. Up to 30 Ukrainian servicemen, two pickup trucks, one US-made M777 artillery system, as well as one D-20 howitzer were eliminated.

▪️ In the Kherson direction during the day, up to 30 Ukrainian servicemen and two motor vehicles were destroyed as a result of fire defeat.

▪️ Fuel depots and hangars of aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force were destroyed in the Dnepropetrovsk region.

▪️ Air defence forces, electronic warfare systems, and small-arms fire shot down two HIMARS MLRS missiles and two operational-tactical missiles.

▪️ Some 483 airplanes and 250 helicopters, 7,359 unmanned aerial vehicles, 439 air defence missile systems, 12,266 tanks and other armoured fighting vehicles, 1,159 combat vehicles equipped with MLRS, 6,623 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 13,700 units of special military equipment have been destroyed during the special military operation.
