πΊπΈπ·πΊ US and Russia should open up lines of communication in order to bolster mutual safety and understanding, US Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment William LaPlante said on Tuesday.
π¬"Itβs only safer when weβre talking to each other, and I think that thatβs something thatβs in the interest of both countries to make sure that those lines of communication stay open so that we understand each other," LaPlante said during an interview with the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

π¬"How can you glorify people that are mass murderers? What do you think Jews feel, how do you think the Poles feel, when someone like Shukhevych is turned into a national hero, and Bandera, and others? These people fought with the Nazis for a victory of the Third Reich, the most genocidal regime in human history. And therefore, they cannot be heroes," Dr Efraim Zuroff, chief Nazi-hunter of the Simon Wiesenthal Center and the director of its Israel Office, commented on the Canadian MPs honoring Nazi SS veteran with standing ovation.

π·πΊ Russian FM spokesperson Maria Zakharova commented on the resignation of the speaker of the Canadian House of Commons: "Rota was made a scapegoat, taking Trudeau and his associates, among whom, I should remind you, are descendants of collaborators from the The Ukrainian Insurgent Army, out of harm's way. For the Nazi slogans "Glory to Ukraine", which greeted Zelensky, no one apologized."
Zakharova also expressed confidence that "the same ignominious future awaits all those who support the "Forest Brothers", "Galicia", torchlight processions, Banderaites and other Nazi scum around the world."

πΊπΈπΊπ³πΈπΎ UN is obligated to hold US accountable for stealing Syriaβs oil - Syrian Foreign Ministry
π¬ βOur latest statistics show that the total value of direct and indirect losses to the oil sector in Syria have exceeded 115 billion US dollars,β Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Bassam Sabbah stated as he addressed the UN General Assembly.
Bassamβs remarks came when addressing US and Turkish illegal military presence on Syrian soil in violation of its national sovereignty and territorial integrity, which is also used to support an array of separatist militias and terrorist groups.
The Syrian official also condemned the βinfiltrationβ by several western political and military officials among others, to occupied areas of the country, in disregard to Syriaβs sovereignty. β βThis is considered a flagrant interference in its internal affairs,β Bassam said.

π¬ "The destruction of the pipeline was an act of war. The United States, or none of its friends, were at war with Russia, and yet they destroyed an asset worth billions of dollars. And it was also an asset that I'm sure you know, it was not just Gazprom who was the partner in it, it was the major partner, but there were other countries, other companies from Western Europe β Germany, for example, Denmark, Sweden, that were involved, too", Philip Giraldi, former CIA operations officer commented on the Nord Stream blast.

π£οΈ On France's decision to leave Niger and end its military and diplomatic presence in the country:
βFrance knew that there is no possibility for its soldiers to remain in the country, particularly that no force in the world can stay in a hostile environment, when people are calling for all the troops, including the French ambassador, to leave. And they consider the announcement of Macron as a victory for Niger, because this is what the population wanted during Mohamed Bazoum's presence in power, and this is what people were asking β for the end of the imperialist colonization of the country,β Elijah Magnier, veteran war correspondent, told Sputnik.

πΊπΈπ·πΊ US seeks to 'minimize' level of Armenia-Russia relations amid Nagorno-Karabakh tensions
π¬ βIt is important for the United States to seize the initiative in relations with Armenia, generate as much visibility as possible, and achieve some results to minimize the level of relations between Armenia and Russia: both, in the defense sphere, and in other areas, Dr. Stanislav Pritchin, senior research fellow at the Center for Post-Soviet Studies, Institute of World Economy and International Relations, Russian Academy of Sciences, told Sputnik.
Weighing in on the protests sweeping Yerevan, with calls for the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Dr. Stanislav Pritchin underscored that the Armenian PM is now βmost beneficial to the United States,β for the mere reason that βunder Pashinyan relations with Russia are actually going into a very serious decline.β

π£οΈ On Nazi ideas rising among the Ukrainian American population:
βThis isn't a new development, right? And I just remember having many arguments with Ukrainian Americans that would start out with me defending the legacy of the Soviet Union and such. And they would insist that 'The Soviet Union was worse than Hitler, worse than the Nazisβ¦Well, Hitler was just trying to protect the Ukrainian people from Stalin.' And the pro-Hitler sentiments among them β that's nothing new... So now it's gotten to the point where the United States is pouring so much money into Ukraine and just trying to prolong this war, and now we have an actual Nazi fighter, a guy who fought against the Soviet Union in World War II. Now, what side does that put him on?β Caleb Maupin, journalist and political analyst, told Sputnik.

π¬ "Everybody knows about Holocaust denial β in other words, that the Shoah, the Holocaust, didn't take place. But there's a new threat to memory, commemoration and education β which is distortion. What does that mean? It means they don't deny that the Holocaust took place, but they change the narrative of what actually happened," Dr Efraim Zuroff, chief Nazi-hunter of the Simon Wiesenthal Center and the director of its Israel Office, commented on the Canadian MPs honoring Nazi SS veteran with standing ovation.

πΊπΈπ The CIA is developing an artificial intelligence (AI) tool to help US intelligence agencies sift through high volumes of public information, an agency official told an American media outlet.
The Chat-GPT-like tool would allow analysts to view the original source of information, ask further questions and help them sort and summarize information, Randy Nixon, director of the CIAβs Open-Source Enterprise Division that is developing the tool, said.
The tool is part of a broader government push to harness AI and compete with China, Nixon stressed. The CIA plans to soon make the tool available for use among the 18 US intelligence agencies, including the NSA, FBI as well as military agencies, Nixon stated, adding that policymakers and the public will not have access to the too.
