๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท France losing great power status as Africa turns to BRICS

Following the July 26 military takeover in Niger, the nation's de facto government has demanded that French diplomats and troops leave the West African state. Nonetheless, the Elysee Palace resisted the demands, claiming that it would withdraw only if Nigerโ€™s ousted President Mohamed Bazoum requested it. However, on September 24, Macron gave up.

๐Ÿ’ฌ "France hiding behind President Bazoum has been a farce to cover up the end of the French neocolonial empire of Africa," Paolo Raffone, a strategic analyst and director of the CIPI Foundation in Brussels, told Sputnik. "The army-led events that have changed governments in many countries in the Sahel region, although each different for their domestic logic, share a common and widely supported desire to end the de facto French 'mandate.'"

๐Ÿช– US-made ATACMS sent to Ukraine 'risk ending up on black market'

There is no clarity as to how many of the ATACMS will be delivered to Ukraine, nor when they will arrive, UK military analyst Sean Bell has warned on British media.

He added that there were several reasons that gave Washington pause when it came to signing off on the weapons that Volodymyr Zelensky had been clamoring for. One of these was that the ballistic missiles can be used at long distances, and if they target Russian territory there is a grave risk the situation could escalate.

Sean Bell added that there are no big war stocks of these ATACMs, as they are very expensive, high-tech weapons.

๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ The EU will not be able to completely abandon gas supplies from Russia in the near future, as this could inflate market prices, Kirill Logvinov, the acting head of the Russian mission to the EU, told Sputnik.

๐Ÿ’ฌ "If we talk about calls for a complete refusal of Russian supplies of โ€˜blue fuel,โ€™ including LNG, then in the near future this is impossible. Refusal to purchase it from Russia under existing long-term contracts will entail serious financial costs for the European Union. Stopping the use of free volumes of domestic LNG in conditions of limited supply will once again increase energy prices in the EU," Logvinov said.

๐Ÿ’ฅ Nord Stream pipeline attack one year later: West seeks to shift blame onto Ukraine Explosions hit the Nord Stream pipelines, built to deliver gas under the Baltic Sea from Russia to Germany, on September 26, 2022. The attack remains clouded in mysteryโ€ฆ
โ—๏ธUS operatives responsible for the Nord Stream pipeline explosions left no traces of their activities, and no important information on the operation was digitized, Pulitzer Prize-winning US investigative journalist Seymour Hersh has said.

Reports on the operation were sent only to the CIA, which kept in touch with those planning the attack, and to President Joe Biden. Paper documents were destroyed after the pipelines were blown up, Hersh added.

โ—๏ธTerrorist attack on Nord Streams had little to do with Ukrainian crisis, Hersh says

๐Ÿ’ฌ โ€œIt resulted from fears in the White House that Germany would waver and turn on the flow of Russia gasโ€”and that Germany and then NATO, for economic reasons, would fall under the sway of Russia and its extensive and inexpensive natural resources. And thus followed the ultimate fear: that America would lose its long-standing primacy in Western Europe,โ€ Pulitzer Prize-winning US investigative journalist Seymour Hersh.
