๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ US lawmaker decries Pentagon's requesting aid for Ukraine while own troops kept 'in filth'

US Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene said on Sunday that she would not vote for a new package of military aid for Ukraine because, among other things, the conditions of the United States' own military barracks do not meet standards and troops are being treated "worse than garbage."

๐Ÿ—ฃ "Bidenโ€™s Department of Defense has U.S. military service members living in filth and squalor on our own bases while they demand more money for Ukraine! Iโ€™m not voting to fund war while our own troops are treated worse than garbage!" Greene said on X, formerly known as Twitter, commenting on the recent inspections by the US Government Accountability Office that detected sewage spillouts, broken air conditioners, mold, cockroaches and the presence of homeless people in the military barracks.

Why Zelensky's vow to continue counteroffensive through winter is wishful thinking

Speaking to the US press, after a day of meetings on Capitol Hill and the White House, Zelensky pledged to keep fighting through the autumn and winter this year. He also vowed to take Artemovsk (also known as Bakhmut) and a couple "more cities". He said that US assistance should keep flowing to Ukraine, despite growing calls in the US Congress to reduce or halt the financial assistance altogether.

The Kiev regime is reportedly going to continue its "counteroffensive" in autumn and through winter, as per President Volodymyr Zelensky. But does Ukraine have enough resources for that?

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ฐ Denmark fears conducting investigation with Russia into Nord Stream blast, ambassador says

There is still no cooperation in the investigation of explosions on gas pipelines between Denmark and Russia, Russian Ambassador to Denmark Vladimir Barbin told Sputnik.

๐Ÿ’ฌ โ€œDoes this position of the Danish prosecutorโ€™s office express fears in Copenhagen that the Russian side may find out something that will create risks for Denmarkโ€™s cooperation with the United States in the security sphere or Denmark's supply of weapons to Ukraine? Perhaps this is the reason for the total secrecy of the investigation into the terrorist attack on the pan-European energy infrastructure that took place a year ago?" Barbin said.

The Russian Army has regularly sent strikes against Ukrainian defense, military administration, communications and energy facilities. ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Outrage as Canadian MPs honor Nazi-linked veteran with standing ovation. What is known so far:

โ–ช๏ธRussia will demand an explanation from Canada for its decision to honor a Nazi veteran in the House, Russian Ambassador to Canada Oleg Stepanov told Sputnik. Stepanov called the act not โ€œa mistake, but a consequence of the impunity of former Nazi criminalsโ€.

โ–ช๏ธYaroslav Hunka, who fought in the ranks of the 14th Waffen Grenadier Division of the Nazi SS during the Second World War, received a standing ovation after being hailed as a veteran of the "struggle for Ukrainian independence against the Russians during WWII".

โ–ช๏ธThe Speaker of Canada's House of Commons, Anthony Rota, took responsibility for what was characterized as an oversight, calling the initiative "entirely my own".

๐Ÿ’ฌ "I have subsequently become aware of more information which causes me to regret my decision," he said, adding his "deepest apologies" to Jewish communities for honoring the 98-year-old.

โ–ช๏ธBut Jewish human rights group, Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center, demanded an apology and said: "An explanation must be provided as to how this individual entered the hallowed halls of the Canadian Parliament and received recognition from the Speaker of the House and a standing ovation,"

โ–ช๏ธThe office of Canada's Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, shifted the blame to the House Speaker, saying that "no advance notice was provided to the Prime Minister's Office, nor the Ukrainian delegation, about the invitation or the recognition".

โ–ช๏ธCanada opposition leader Pierre Poilievre criticized the PM's protocol service saying it was responsible for selecting the guests and that none of the parliamentarians could have known about Hunka's โ€œdark pastโ€.

๐Ÿ’ฌ โ€œMr Trudeau must personally apologize and avoid passing the blame to others as he always does,โ€ he said.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Tucker Carlson 'tried to interview' Putin but Biden gov't 'stopped' him

While not clarifying who these officials were, the media personality went on to deplore the fact that no one โ€œdefended himโ€ in the US news media.

๐Ÿ’ฌ โ€œI donโ€™t think there was anybody who said โ€˜wait a second. I may not like this guy but he has a right to interview anyone he wants, and we have a right to hear what Putin saysโ€™โ€ฆ Youโ€™re not allowed to hear Putinโ€™s voice. Because why? There was no vote on it. No one asked me,โ€ Carlson said in an interview with Swiss media.

He added he believed the world was changing much more quickly than most Americans understand.

๐Ÿ’ฌ โ€œThere is almost no coverage of the rest of the world in Western mediaโ€ฆ Americans donโ€™t have a good sense of it. What we, in this country, refer to as the โ€˜Post-War Orderโ€™, all the institutions set up in the wake of World War II to keep the world peaceful and prosperous and the United States at the top of the pyramid, and that would include the dominance of the dollar, the SWIFT system, NATO, all of that appears to be crumbling, to me,โ€ Carlson said.

How to prevent a third World War?

The unfolding Ukraine crisis could be a prologue for a larger and more dangerous conflict, but if it could be avoided the world could build a fairer multipolar system, according to Russian political scientist Sergey Karaganov.

๐Ÿ’ฌ "It will only get worse in the foreseeable future," warned Karaganov. "Each new call from Western leaders is more foolish, reckless, and ideologically charged than the previous one, making it more dangerous for the world. They are consciously fuelling the disintegration of their societies by promoting anti-human values."
