🇮🇷 President Ebrahim Raisi “stole the limelight” at the UN General Assembly, with his speech on the “global transition from unilateralism to multilateralism” and Iran’s rising role internationally effectively serving as an “obituary of US hegemony,” one of Iran’s top international broadcasters has reported.

“President Raisi said the project of global Americanization has failed, referring to the staggering collapse of the policy of unilateralism with Washington in the role of a hegemony,” the outlet wrote.

Raisi emphasized that “the equation of Western domination does not work for the world anymore,” and that “the old liberal order that used to serve the interests of imperialists and capitalists has been brushed aside.” The planet, he said, is “reaching a critical junction point as an emerging order of non-Western states look to pursue closer economic and political ties with one another.”

❗️ Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and IAEA chief Rafael Grossi have exchanged views on the main areas of the IAEA's activities and discussed the safety of the Zaporozhye NPP, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

Lavrov and Grossi noted the long-term disastrous effect of the use of depleted uranium munitions supplied to Kiev by the West, the ministry added.

❗️ Rafael Grossi told Sputnik after meeting with Sergey Lavrov that he considers it advisable to continue regular contacts with Russia on the situation around the Zaporozhye NPP.

He added that he is considering the possibility of a visit to the NPP, but it depends on the circumstances.

🗣️ On Zelensky's claims that Russia has kidnapped Ukrainian children:

“Obviously Zelensky is trying to vilify Russia to justify continued arms shipments to his country. I've been in the Donbass twice in the last – in less than a year. And I've talked to people about the children who were killed by the government in Kiev over the years. And moreover, I witnessed, in my own cross-border trips into Russia from places like Estonia, Ukrainians voluntarily emigrating to Russia… A lot of the Ukrainians going to Russia are going there because they want to go there, because they feel safer there. And again, that is something being obscured by people like Zelensky,” Dan Kovalik, attorney and human rights activist, told Sputnik.

❗️ The Russian Defense Ministry reported a mass terrorist attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Crimea, the Russian Armed Forces' air defense forces destroyed 19 drones over the peninsula.

Air defenses downed one drone each over Russia's Kursk, Belgorod and Oryol regions, the Ministry added.
