π΄πΌπΊπΈ US leaders are aging with no replacement in sight amid unbreakable political gridlock, experts told Sputnik
A recent poll conducted by a US media outlet revealed 75% of Americans are concerned about US President Joe Bidenβs age and mental competence, while 67% of Democrats do not want him to run again.
Constitutional historian Dan Lazare suggested these developments are part of a generational illness afflicting an out-of-touch US governing elite that stayed too long in power.
As a remedy to the situation, California State University Professor Emeritus of Political Science Beau Grosscup said the United States urgently needed to pass age limits for top public officials.

The Ukrainian military forced captured Russian soldiers to walk directly through a minefield, a trusted source told Sputnik, showing a video found on a phone in a Ukrainian shelter
Reprisal and torture videos of Russian servicemen have appeared on the Internet more than once. For example, in November last year, a video appeared online showing Ukrainian soldiers shooting Russians who had surrendered and were lying on the ground. In addition, military personnel who returned from Ukrainian captivity spoke of torture: "During interrogation they [Ukrainians] cut off fingers, shot their legs, beat them with rebar and electric shocks.
The UNHRC Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine said in its report that Ukrainian soldiers committed war crimes by shooting and torturing Russian prisoners of war. The UN mission reported 25 cases of reprisals by Ukrainian forces against Russian prisoners. In addition, Ukraine has not brought criminal charges against its soldiers who executed Russian prisoners of war, although several executions have been documented.
