Millions of Pentagon emails sent to Malian server due to '.mil' domain typo
Millions of internal US military email messages have ended up on a Malian internet server over the past 10 years thanks to a small error in typing addresses.
Personnel mistakenly typed '.ml' โ the top-level internet domain for the central African nation โ instead of the and Department of Defense (DoD) '.mil' suffix.
Dutch internet entrepreneur Johannes Zuurbier, whose Mali Dili company's contract to run the Malian internet country domain is about to end, has warned the Pentagon of the problem repeated.
One email contained the full itinerary for US Army Chief of Staff General James McConville's delegation to Indonesia in May this year โ including hotel room numbers.

"Vehicle traffic on the Crimean bridge has been restored in reverse mode along the rightmost lane of the Taman-Kerch direction," Khusnullin said on Telegram, adding that authorities carried out a preliminary examination of the bridge spans that "confirmed that their condition allows to start the vehicular traffic."

'Most hideous weapons ever devised': Ukraine civilians, children will die for years from US cluster bombs, peace activist says
๐ฌ "Cluster bombs are, apart from DU [depleted uranium] weapons which cause cancer, genetic defects and birth deformities for the rest of time in the exposed population," Dr. Helen Caldicott, founder of the Nobel Peace Prize-winning Physicians for Social Responsibility, told Sputnik.
The weapons were expressly designed to cause indiscriminate loss of human life and hideous injuries over a wide area, regardless of who or what was being targeted, Caldicott explained. The bomblets, she added, are colored yellow and shaped like a can of soft drink and are therefore attractive to children, she added.
