The Russian Armed Forces are completing the acceptance of weapons and equipment from the Wagner group

More than 2,000 weapons were transferred, including tanks, MLRS, Pantsir air defense systems, and others. 2,500 tons of ammunition and 20,000 small arms were likewise accepted. Several dozen pieces of equipment were not used in combat.

Equipment and weapons were sent to the rear areas for maintenance and preparation for further use.

❗️Russian MoD briefing on the progress of the special military operation in Ukraine:

▪️ The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation repelled two attacks near Krasny Liman. Ukrainian losses amounted to over 60;

▪️ Aviation of the Russian Aerospace shot down a Ukrainian Mi-24 helicopter in the DPR;

🇺🇳 UN Secretary-General António Guterres sent a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday with a proposal aimed at extending the Grain Deal, Stéphane Dujarric, spokesman for the UN chief, said at a briefing.

The goal of Guterres' proposal is to remove obstacles to the operations of the Russian bank Rosselkhozbank and ensure the further work of the Black Sea initiative. He also put forward a proposal to harmonize both parts of the deal, he said.

According to Dujarric, the UN knows that Russia received the letter and is studying it. At the same time, he pointed out that Guterres is ready to have contact with Russia.

🇺🇸 A group of influential Republican senators in the United States sent a letter to the head of the Pentagon, Lloyd Austin, demanding a report on an error in assessing the assistance provided to Ukraine in the amount of about $6.2 billion.

Republicans have suggested that the Pentagon has made an attempt to hide the real cost of aid sent to Ukraine from lawmakers. They pointed out that Congress, not the Department of Defense, manages the budget.

80 years ago today, during the Great Patriotic War, one of the largest battles in military history occurred near the Prokhorovka railway station

▪️ Over 1,000 tanks and self-propelled artillery units were involved in combat from both sides.

▪️ In this battle, the German command sought to encircle and destroy Soviet forces that had breached their defensive line in the Kursk, Orel, and Belgorod regions. Conversely, the Soviet command aimed to encircle the enemy grouping.

▪️ Despite the two-day battle for the bridgehead, neither side managed to achieve their objectives. The German forces were forced to retreat. Nevertheless, this battle significantly influenced the Soviet forces' victory in the overall Battle of Kursk.

🇩🇪🇵🇱 Germany will withdraw from the project for the construction of a maintenance hub for Leopard 2 tanks in Poland due to Warsaw's inflated expectations regarding maintenance payment, German newspaper reported on Wednesday.

Berlin wants the tanks to be repaired as close to the Ukrainian border as possible, but Poland has set what Germany described as unreasonable prices for maintenance of the military equipment, the newspaper reported.
