🇺🇸 Senators urge Biden to negotiate debt limit, stop 'playing Russian roulette' with economy

💬 "I am disappointed in the White House, they are missing in action," Sen. Rick Scott told reporters. "This should be the biggest issue that they are dealing with every day, they should be having daily meetings with Kevin McCarthy to figure out how we get this done."

Scott was joined by a number of other congressional lawmakers, including Sen. John Barrasso, with the same message to the US president outside the Capitol building.

💬 "Joe Biden is playing Russian roulette with the American economy," Barrasso said. "It's time for Joe Biden to take his head out of the sand and sit down and negotiate with Kevin McCarthy."

The Biden administration wants Congress to raise the debt ceiling without attaching other economic policy proposals. However, McCarthy has said a "no-strings-attached" debt limit increase will not pass the lower chamber.

📹 Crews manning Russia’s 2S19 Msta and 2S5 Giatsint-S self-propelled artillery guns in combat action

The Msta-S crews perform a series of shots from closed firing positions on known targets, allowing the enemy to be located and thus trigger return fire.

Artillery reconnaissance radar systems then quickly detect enemy artillery, and the Giatsint-S crews swiftly eliminate the targets at a range of more than 30 km. This long range makes it possible to effectively carry out counter-battery firing and effectively destroy the adversary’s military equipment.

The combat crews use UAVs to adjust the accuracy of artillery fire and confirm the destruction of a target.

Kiev faces most intensive air attacks since start of 2023 on Wednesday night, authorities say

💬 "Another air attack on Kiev. It is already the third [attack] over the four days of May for the capital! Our city has not experienced such a dense intensity of strikes since the beginning of this year," Serhiy Popko, the head of the Kiev military administration, has said.

The intensity was apparently increased after an attempted attack by two drones on Russia's Kremlin early on Wednesday. Moscow said the attack had been Kiev's assassination attempt on Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Ukrainian government has denied involvement in the attack.

According to a report by Chinese security company 360, "the CIA has been secretly organizing "peaceful change" and "color revolutions in more than 50 countries" such as:

· Velvet Revolution in Czechoslovakia in 1989;
· Rose Revolution in Georgia in 2003;
· Orange Revolution in Ukraine from 2004-2005;
· Tulip Revolution in Kyrgyzstan in 2005;
· Arab Spring of 2010s;
· Ukrainian Euromaidan from 2013-2014;
· Sunflower Movement in Taiwan in 2014;

There also were attempts to stage "color revolutions" in Belarus, Azerbaijan, Lebanon, Myanmar, Iran and other states, according to the report.

Commonwealth's Indigenous Leaders urge King Charles III 🇬🇧 to apologise for colonisation

✉️ The letter, titled "Apology, Reparation, and Repatriation of Artefacts and Remains," was issued a few days before the monarch's coronation scheduled for 6 May and brought together indigenous leaders of 12 Commonwealth countries:
Antigua and Barbuda, New Zealand, Australia, the Bahamas, Belize, Canada, Grenada, Jamaica, Papua New Guinea, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

💭 "We, the undersigned, call on the British Monarch, King Charles III, on the date of his coronation being May 6, 2023, to acknowledge the horrific impacts on and legacy of genocide and colonisation of the indigenous and enslaved peoples," the letter read.

💂 Buckingham Palace and the UK government have not reacted to the letter so far.

▪️In the Kupyansk direction, up to 30 Ukrainian troops, two armored fighting vehicles, three motor vehicles, one Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer, as well as one ammunition depot were eliminated. In addition, the actions of six sabotage and reconnaissance groups were thwarted;

▪️ In the Krasny Liman direction, Ukrainian losses amounted to 70 troops, one tank, two infantry fighting vehicles, two pick-up trucks, and one Msta-B howitzer;

▪️ In the Donetsk direction, Ukrainian losses amounted to 255 troops, two armored fighting vehicles, six motor vehicles, two D-20 howitzers, one Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer, as well as one ammunition depot;

▪️In the South Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, Ukrainian losses amounted to 30 troops, two armored fighting vehicles, three motor vehicles, two D-30 howitzers, and one Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer;

▪️In the Kherson direction, up to 35 Ukrainian troops, six motor vehicles, one Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system, two D-30 and Msta-B howitzers, as well as one ammunition depot were destroyed;

▪️Russian air defense forces intercepted nine HIMARS, Uragan, and Smerch MLRS projectiles and 14 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in the Zaporozhye region, Donetsk People's Republic and Lugansk People's Republic.
