A gaggle of journalists from the Washington Post (a newspaper owned by Jeff Bezos) have won the 2022 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service because of their coverage of the storming of the Capitol on 6 January 2021. The building came under attack by Donald Trumpβ¦
πThe former president has taken a dig at the winners of the prize, recalling the reportersβ role in spreading a debunked conspiracy theory that he colluded with the Kremlin to steal the 2016 presidential election from Hillary Clinton: βWhy should the Fake News Media and their βjournalistsβ receive a Pulitzer Prize for their totally incorrect reporting on Russia, Russia, Russia? It was a complete HOAX. The Pulitzer committee is in turmoil,β Trump wrote in a post.
