When people discuss Ethereum and the ETH cryptocurrency they normally refer to the mainnet which is
unique.
This is the only net where ETH has value. On all other testnest,
ETH has no real value.
Testnets are used by protocol
developers or smart contract developers to test both protocol upgrades as well as smart contracts
in a production-like environment before the deployment to the mainnet. We’ll use the Ethereum testnet
through this course because we don't want to pay real money to play around with smart contracts; and
you can create an additional account in the same wallet, import an existing account, or connect a harder
wallet to an account for the highest security.
If there i nothing special about creating a new account, let's take a look at imported accounts.
Imported accounts are accounts you import using a private key string or a private key, JSON file.
If you have the private key of the account just pasted here or browse for the JSON file, that contains the
private key.
Let's moe on and see how to restore your MetaMask wallet from the Seed Phrase
There are two ways: to restore Seed Phrase to a new MetaMask install or in an existing MetaMask
install, restore from the lock screen. To restore to a new MetaMask install, after installing the extension
click "Import with Seed Phrase", Enter your seed phrase and you’re done. To restore from the “lock screen”
in an existing MetaMask Install do the followings:
Select "Lock" in the top-right menu; Then Click "Import using account seed phrase"
Enter your 12-word seed phrase and a new password
I'm taking the seed phrase from the text editor.
And I'm choosing a new password.
And I'm clicking Restore.
Great, I have only one account restored at first, but lick "Create account" for any missing accounts
