Exciting news! We've introduced a new feature on SolChat Dapp: solchat.app

You can now send payments to friends right from the app. Plus, the proof of your transaction will be securely saved on the blockchain as a message. This makes it perfect for paying for services directly through our app. Just make sure the person you're sending to is also a SolChat user.

Right now, we're starting with SOL payments, but hang tight - we'll be bringing in more options with custom SPL tokens soon.

And that's not all - we're close to launching audio calls! We're about 90% done with testing, just polishing up the user interface for audio calls. And the best part? Audio calls will be free of charge.

Hello, guys! We have upgraded our data limits for the chat program. Now, each user can have up to 150+ friends. Old wallets, before this upgrade, will have a 30 wallet friends limit. As you know, the Solana blockchain requires rent for space. This upgrade will cause new users to pay 0.04 SOL when registering, essentially upgrading space. Thank you.

Now you can send images to your friends. We utilize IPFS to store your images. Once uploaded, these cannot be deleted. Images will be stored as NFT metadata, and the CID of the image will be encrypted, ensuring that no other user can decrypt the image's CID except you and your friend. Below is a sample image uploaded to IPFS, which was extracted while doing a screen recording.

Hello SolChatters! We're excited to introduce the audio calls feature, allowing wallet-to-wallet communication using WebRTC. Your calls are peer-to-peer, connecting directly between your browser and your friend's, ensuring that your conversations are encrypted. The primary encryption standard employed in WebRTC is DTLS (Datagram Transport Layer Security), which means your calls are secure, and no one else can listen in. Please note: both users need to be online to make or receive calls.
