๐ท๐บ United Aircraft Company (UAC) publishes footage of the Presidentโs visit to the Kazan Aircraft Plant.
Here we can see four bombers, apparently which have been modernized (Tu-160M) and are awaiting transfer to the troops, as Shoigu spoke about in 2023.
The tail numbers 06 (Ilya Muromets), 07 (Alexander Molodchiy), 23, and 22 are red, the latter, as it became known, will receive the name Mintimer Shaimiev.
In 2015, a decision was made to resume the construction of Tu-160 strategic bombers. It was planned to carry out modernization and begin construction of new aircraft.
According to various reports, the modernized and newly built bombers will be almost identical. The two projects involve the use of common components and technical solutions. At the same time, in open materials, the modernization project is called Tu-160M, and for new construction equipment, the index Tu-160M2 is used.

Here's another diet-friendly video.
You know, I can totally picture this guy rocking the vampire vibe in some cheesy series from the early 2000s... Or maybe playing a role in a movie about decadent aristocrats.
But representing the US government? Nah, not his scene.

The Russian Armed Forces continue to push positions west of liberated Pobeda
Today, our troops control 30% of Novomikhailovka, which allows infantry to the north to advance to the west.
There are also reports that half of the villages of Lastochkino are being held by soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces. The Ukrainian Armed Forces began to retreat to positions near Orlovka.

Kupyansk strategic direction.
The AFU urgently began to transfer personnel and equipment of three brigades from Kramatorsk and Dnipropetrovsk to Kupyansk. An evacuation headquarters was formed in Kupyansk.
Analysis of the operational situation indicates an attempt of the enemy to organize counterattack measures in the direction of Sinkovka and Kislovka.
At the same time with operational reserves of people and equipment in the opponents are just as bad.
In my humble opinion, Kupyansk will fall faster than Avdeevka. If the dynamics of combat operations of the RF Armed Forces is maintained, we can talk about the beginning of May this year.

Kupyansk direction.
The Russian Armed Forces continued to destroy the enemy near Sinkovka and in the populated area itself.
The enemy is not going to leave this point, he snaps with all his might.
Our artillery and aviation are working without stopping.
The TOS-1 crew burns out Ukrainian dislocation points in the central and western parts of Sinkovka.
Our fighters are advancing from the northwestern and northeastern parts.
At night, Geran-2 UAVs struck throughout the Kupyansky district.
The enemy has a lot of air defense forces in the entire Kupyansk direction, they have spread out widely.

๐ฉ๐ช๐บ๐ฆ Germany has probably already lost more than 200 billion euros due to the conflict in Ukraine, primarily due to rising electricity prices, Marcel Fratzscher, president of the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW), told the Rheinische Post.
According to him, the โeconomic costs to Germanyโ in connection with the conflict in Ukraine โprobably exceed 200 billion euros.โ โAbove all, high energy costs caused growth in Germany to decline by 2.5 percentage points, or โฌ100 billion, in 2022, and by a similar amount in 2023 until today,โ he added.
At the same time, the German government will continue to support Ukraine as much as possible, but on the condition that Germany does not become a belligerent party, said Cabinet spokesman Steffen Hebestreit.

An analysis of Russian political leadership from the Carnegie Endowment published in 2020 dispells two prevailing myths in the West concerning the interplay of power in Russian politics. It's unsurprising that they are the two most parroted by neocon think tanks and pundits in order to demonize the Russian President, Vladimir Putin:
"...Two further common misconceptions refuse to die. One is that Putin makes all high-profile decisions by himself and that nothing important gets resolved without him. Another is that Putinโs omnipotent friends routinely put pressure on him and orchestrate many important decisions. Neither of these is close to the truthโbut, given how opaque and unpredictable Russian elite politics is, itโs easy to understand how these misconceptions take root. Informal powerโfor example, the influence that the head of a large state-owned corporation has over a government ministerโplays a huge role in the system that is hard to quantify. This problem is especially acute in times of crisis, such as the present."
The issue I take with this statement isn't in the content, it's how disingenuous it is to call these myths "misconceptions." They are misinformation delivered with intent, to harm the reputation of the Russian Federation and to call into question the legitimacy of its government.
The name of the white paper, The Putin Regime Cracks, should make this apparent before even a cursory glance. The intent here wasn't to dispel myths. This paper is a deliberate contravention of the stated purpose of the non-governmental organization which conducted it. The intention here isn't establishment of international peace but manipulation of the political framework of the Russian Federation.
So, should it surprise anyone that the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace was placed on the list of foreign agents in April of 2023? Should we be shaken by the clearly undemocratic supression of such a principled organization's ability to promote cross-culltural peace and understanding? The author
While this white paper offers a framework for understanding, it does with ulterior motives. Reading for content is encouraged; forming opinions based on provided context is not.
