The reason I am not reporting “the liberation of Privolye” is because it has yet to be liberated fully and completely mopped up of all clusters of Ukrainian resistance.
I had typed this earlier in the day:
The town is half-liberated, with the remaining Ukrainian garrison—left to cover the retreat by the main forces—essentially with nowhere to go, stuck between the Russian bridgehead on the south side of the Seversky Donets river and the advancing Allied forces coming the side of Lisichansk. The road through Shipilovo and onwards to Belogorovka, while technically open, is problematic.
The situation has become much better in the course of the day and evening, but I cannot report the complete liberation of the city as of yet, although it is a matter of hours.

I will endeavour to provide a more complete update regarding the Lisichansk cauldron a bit later. In brief, Russian troops are now coming from all sides, having, in addition to crossing Seversky Donets near Privolye from the side of Staraya Krasnyanka, also traversed the river from the side of Severodonetsk, cutting right into the belly of what remains of Ukrainian positions in the area. The liberation of Lisichansk is a matter of days.

▪️На севере Харьковской области продолжаются позиционные бои. В результате ракетного удара ВС РФ по Харькову было уничтожено два пункта дислокации территориальной обороны.
▪️Завершена зачистка Лисичанского нефтеперерабатывающего завода. Отошедшие в Золотаревку украинские подразделения пытаются закрепиться вдоль последнего путь маршрута отступления из Лисичанска. К западу от Лисичанска союзные силы наступают на Северск с двух направлений: со стороны НПЗ на Верхнекаменское и стороны Николаевки на Спорное. The situation for the AFU units in Lysychansk and the suburbs is deteriorating. Pryvolye is taken. The Novodruzhevsk - Belogorovka highway is cut. The AFU is preparing for a counterattack from Seversk to prevent the final encirclement of the Lysychansk group.
▪️ The Russian Armed Forces forced the Seversky Donets, broke through the AFU defense and occupied Privolye, as well as the Privolnyanskaya mine on the Novodruzhesk - Belogorovka road.
▪️ In the fighting with the Russian Armed Forces, the command staff of one of the battalions of the 111th Brigade of the Tetra Defence Brigade was destroyed. The remnants of the unit withdrew to the area of Shipilovka and took up a circular defense of the settlement. A counterattack in the direction of Privolya is now being planned: active aerial reconnaissance of the RF Armed Forces' positions is being conducted.
▪️ The only retreat route from Lysychansk is along a country road through fields and ravines through Berezovo to Belogorovka. There is less than 4 km to the closure of the cauldron. The AFU is preparing for an attempted crossing of the Seversky Donets by the AFU north of Grigorovka.

In case there is no Russian Armed Forces response, restoring the control over Snake Island will let AFU free up most of the resources deployed in Odessa region. Most of them will be sent to the area of active combat operations in Soledar direction, while another part will most likely be used for the planned counterattack in Kherson region.

The allied forces have reached Lisichansk.
▪️ Ukrainian army is suffering big losses in this area. Only in Verkhnekamenka, over the past 24 hours, the enemy has lost more than 120 persons dead, as well as 70 in Verkhnekamenskoye.
▫️ The failures of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) at the combat area provoke an increase of the number of cases of desertion and evading to be involved in operations. There is an unorganised withdrawal of certain AFU units from Lisichansk.
▪️ The command conceals the facts of understaffing of units in every way possible. One of the battalions of 17th Tank Brigade that operates near Novaya Poltavka (Donetsk People's Republic) is left with less than 20% of personnel from the authorised strength.
▫️ At the same time, the Kiev regime has found the 'culprits' for military failures of the AFU at another pocket in Donbass.
