⚡️Emergency statement by Russian Defence Ministry spokesman Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov

Yesterday, on June 29, 144 servicemen were exchanged for 144.

It had been organised and held according to the direct order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, as the lives, the health and the liberation of our servicemen, the fighters of the Donetsk and Lugansk people's republics who constitute the majority of the returned individuals, are the most important task.

Everything else is afterwards.

Almost all of the liberated individuals are wounded or gravely wounded. They are already receiving all the medical care they need.

The total number of captured or surrendered Ukrainian servicemen is more than 6,000 people.

❗️🇷🇺 Opinion: The Russian Ministry of Defense indeed needs PR advice.

After Bucha, they issued an official statement: "not a single local resident has suffered from any violent action”.

Ukrainian shelling would also be a violent action. If only one civilian was injured as a result or one resident of Bucha raped another, the statement would be refuted.

Such statements are just a ready meal for the Western media, which then refute them with Fake News, false testimonies etc., as has happened.

Even when the war is won on the battlefields, the media influences popular sentiment fot war support. Politicians run into problems when popular support wanes.

In conclusion, proper statements are needed to reduce the damage that the media can do.

❗️🪱🇷🇺 To be a little more precise, there were not only the Army Spetsnaz, but also Black Sea Fleet Special Forces. Combat swimmers. They fought heroically. Just like everyone else.

I would add to this report that the Russian troops took the island in just a couple of days. They held it for more than 4 months. At the same time they repeatedly repulsed attacks by the AFU.

There is nothing tragic in the abandonment of the island. The tactics and strategy of war does not usually coincide with the sofa wishes. In the Great Patriotic War, Kharkov, how many times they tried to take it and left it?

So now the question is not about withdrawal of military units. Saving lives of our soldiers and officers is the most important task. The Ministry of Defense is acting here 100% correctly. The life of a Russian soldier is more important than the island.

The only question is the quality of our information warfare.

❗️Azot steel plant #Severodonetsk

ST. PETERSBURG, June 30. /TASS/. There are still about 1,000 people, including civilians, on the premises of the Azot steel plant in Severodonetsk, the first deputy interior minister of the Lugansk People’s Republic said on Thursday.

"Reports are varying, but there are no more than 1,000 people on the premises of the Azot plant, with 600-800 remaining, but our forces have been working in this direction, evacuating people. There are civilians among them," including children, women and elderly people, Roman Vedmedenko told TASS.

He did not say when the people would be liberated, redirecting the question to the military.

Below is Strelkov’s report from the last time that Russia withdrew from Zmeiny, executed a masterful trap, and then returned in force.

Nothing has changed. I agree with the first two paragraphs now just as I did then. Yes, there is some advantage to holding Zmeiny in terms of protecting the Black Sea Fleet grouping. Yes, it was a convenient place to install air defences and conduct surveillance. Yes, it has symbolic significance.

However, the passionless apolitical military calculus remains the same: Without plans for immediate offensive operations in the direction of Odessa, the cost of holding Zmeiny significantly outweighs its benefit. And Ukraine will not be permitted to land there, or, even if it does, its troops will not survive for long. That’s all it is.

PS. I give due where due is due, and Strelkov is just as welcome of a source as anyone else, provided he writes things that make sense.

❗️🇷🇺 MOSCOW, June 30. /TASS/. A multipolar world order is evolving globally now, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday.

"A multipolar system of international relations has been actively evolving. The process is irreversible, it has been unfolding in front of our eyes and it is objective in its nature," Putin said, addressing the 10th St. Petersburg International Legal Forum (SPBILF).

"The position of Russia and many other countries is that this democratic, more just world order should be built on the basis of mutual respect and trust, and, of course, on the generally accepted principles of international law and the UN Charter," he emphasized.

Putin’s video address "was recently recorded during his working trip to St. Petersburg," the Kremlin said on its website.

Putin lauded the in-person forum, saying that "even the most advanced communication technologies cannot replace a direct dialogue and face-to-face meetings".

🇷🇺🇺🇦According to Ukrainian sources from Lisichansk, the Russian Armed Forces and the LPR army are now advancing in almost all directions.

Especially strong pressure is on Privolye (street fighting in the city), Controversial, Zolotarevka and Verkhnekamenka (street fighting there too). Fighting also continues in Lisichansk itself. By lunchtime, according to the statements of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the LPR, our troops controlled 50% of Lisichansk, including the suburbs.

According to Volcheyarovka, fighting is still going on in the village, it is not completely controlled.

There is also information about the progress in the battles for the White Mountain.

Foreign media report that the fall of Lisichansk is inevitable due to the heavy losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

❗️🇷🇺🇺🇦 Situation on the Nikolaevsko-Krivoy Rog direction as of 19:30 June 2022 by @rybar:

▪️ At present the fighting in this direction takes a positional character. Artillery duels are taking place, the sides are probing for weaknesses in the defenses.

▪️ At least one Bayraktar UAV was operating from the Kanatovo airfield to monitor the activities of Russian forces on the line of contact. A Mi-8 helicopter operated in the vicinity of Pribugskoye.

▪️ Ukrainian Armed Forces engineering units are strengthening fortifications at the Tokarevo - Mykolayivka line.

▪️ A batch of diesel fuel supplied by the Polish oil refining company Polski Koncern Naftowy Orlen arrived in Kostyantynivka.

▪️ Ukrainian Armed Forces artillery units shelled Russian Armed Forces positions in Andreevka, Vysokopolye Lozovoye, Pravdino and Ivanovka.

In addition, there was an attempted sabotage in the form of detonation of a small explosive package in the area of the detention center in Kherson. There were no casualties.

▪️ The Russian Armed Forces struck an AFU stronghold in Novonikolayivka. As a result, two AFU soldiers were killed and three wounded.

🔻 The situation in the Nikolaevsko-Krivoy Rog direction did not undergo any serious changes. Due to the large involvement of forces and assets in the Donbass, the Ukrainian side is unable to switch to the previously announced counterattack, mainly holding a positional defense.

However, restoring control over Snake Island, provided there are no retaliatory actions by the Russian Armed Forces, will make it possible to free up most of the resources involved in the Odessa Region. Most of them will be directed to the area of active combat operations in the Soledar direction, and another part will most likely be used for the planned counterattack in the Kherson Oblast.

❗️🇷🇺🇺🇦 Situation in the Soledar-Bahmut direction as of 20.30 June 2022 by @rybar:

▪️The Wagner PMC units are focused on breaking the defenses and destroying the enemy's manpower and equipment at the Pokrovskoye-Klinovoye line.

▪️The Ukrainian command is trying to hold back the advance of Russian forces towards Bakhmut by transferring equipment and personnel to the areas of the fighting with all possible means.

▪️There has been an extensive network of AFU strongholds near Klinovoye since 2014, where large quantities of weapons and ammunition have been concentrated in advance and the approaches have been mined.

▪️ It is difficult to move in this direction without breaking the enemy's defenses with the help of aviation and artillery. Aircraft operations are complicated by the large number of man-portable air defense systems and self-propelled SAMs, which is why this sector of the front is mostly attacked with massive missile and artillery strikes.

▪️ Units of the Ukrainian armed forces prepared to blow up a salt mine in Paraskoviyivka.

❗️🇷🇺🇺🇦 Situation on the Severodonetsk-Lysychansk direction as of 21.00 June 30, 2022 by @rybar:

Despite statements by officials of the Luhansk People's Republic, the battle for Lysychansk is far from over. No control of 30-50% of the city is out of the question.

▪️ From the Severodonetsk side, the sweeping of the left bank of the Seversky Donets continues: scattered detachments of the AFU, the National Security Forces and the terrorist defense forces are hiding in dachas and groves. Until the entire territory is completely cleared, it is somewhat premature to speak of the establishment of full control.

▪️The cleanup of the Lisichansk oil refinery has been completed. Ukrainian units retreated to Zolotarevka are attempting to gain a foothold along the last route of retreat from Lisichansk. After capturing the village, Allied forces will deprive the Ukrainian Armed Forces of the only communication route between Lysychansk and Seversk. Ukrainian units are now retreating in the fields under artillery fire through Belogorovka.

The front line runs along the railroad near Novozolotarevka station. The village of Verkhnekamenka south of the railroad is controlled by the Russian Armed Forces. Fierce fighting is taking place.

▪️West of Lysychansk, Allied forces are advancing on Seversk from two directions: from the direction of the refinery to Verkhnyekamenskoye and from Nikolaevka to Spornoye.

To the west of Verkhnekamenskoye, the remnants of the 111th Brigade of the Tetra Defence are hurriedly setting up positions. Two man-portable air defense systems Stinger and Perun each remained as "serious" weapons.

▪️Fighting continues on the southern outskirts of Lysychansk near the RTI plant and Bila Gora.

▪️Chechen units crossed the Seversky Donets near Privolya from the direction of Staraya Krasnyanka and, together with the DNR People's Militia, are storming the populated area. The report about the full capture of Privolya was premature: pockets of resistance remain in the village.

@Zastavyii writes:

I am ready, like all Russian people, to forgive and forget almost all our information warfare defeats. Indeed, it is not on the information field that victory is forged, but on the ordinary earthly field.

But I will never forget one defeat. Because it is not so much an information warfare defeat as a moral one. It is a defeat, first of all, of ourselves in front of ourselves. And this defeat is our boys who were tortured.

Russian soldiers, who were shot in the legs and bludgeoned in stairwells, with all this callously filmed on video. Who had their throats slashed by Georgian mercenaries. They are forgotten. We do not know their names. We do not see (will not see?) monuments dedicated to them. We haven't even seen reports about them on national TV, because there were no reports about them—like there were about Tyra. No telegram network, living off the state’s money, even remembers them anymore. Nor are they remembered at the top. And, by the looks of it, they will never be remembered again.

No one promises to hit the decision-making centres for them. Nobody ostentatiously leaves UN Security Council meetings for them. No one brandishes their image as that of heroes. You—up there—have forgotten them the next day.

This is your most important information fuck-up. For which you will be severely punished by fate itself. Because unlike you, your enemies honor their heroes.

You'll see.

The reason I am not reporting “the liberation of Privolye” is because it has yet to be liberated fully and completely mopped up of all clusters of Ukrainian resistance.

I had typed this earlier in the day:

The town is half-liberated, with the remaining Ukrainian garrison—left to cover the retreat by the main forces—essentially with nowhere to go, stuck between the Russian bridgehead on the south side of the Seversky Donets river and the advancing Allied forces coming the side of Lisichansk. The road through Shipilovo and onwards to Belogorovka, while technically open, is problematic.

The situation has become much better in the course of the day and evening, but I cannot report the complete liberation of the city as of yet, although it is a matter of hours.

I will endeavour to provide a more complete update regarding the Lisichansk cauldron a bit later. In brief, Russian troops are now coming from all sides, having, in addition to crossing Seversky Donets near Privolye from the side of Staraya Krasnyanka, also traversed the river from the side of Severodonetsk, cutting right into the belly of what remains of Ukrainian positions in the area. The liberation of Lisichansk is a matter of days.
