Italian Prime Minister Meloni told EU leaders that she understands Orbán's position on Ukraine, Politico reports, citing diplomats.

At a closed session of the EU summit on Thursday, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, according to five diplomats, expressed understanding for Viktor Orbán's position on blocking a previously approved €90 billion EU loan for Ukraine.

Meloni also emphasized that she personally supports the immediate disbursement of funds. The Italian Prime Minister's office denied the language attributed to her, the publication adds.

More than half of Americans believe the US leadership will order more American troops to the Middle East as part of military action against Iran, while only 7% of respondents support such a decision.

This is according to a poll conducted by Ipsos for Reuters.
