Rumours of Ukrainian Evacuation from Artemovsk

According to Artemovsk local channels, emergency services and police have initiated an evacuation there. This is interpreted by a number of channels (started by @Legitimniy, with the Russian channels amplifying this further) as a preparation to "surrender Artemovsk".

Generally, in addition to the advance near Artemovsk, which is now in the spotlight, far more dramatic events are taking place to the south. The southern group of the Russian Army, apart from the blockade of Artemovsk from the south (after Odradovka, Zaitsevo, Veselya Dolina, and the Asphalt Plant, they appear to have entered Opytnoye, Ivangrad, and the Hydro Dam area), continues to advance westwards in the Maiorsk - Ozaryanovka - Kurdymovka - Zelenopolye - Klescheevka area. Ukrainian press actually spoke today about the Russian Army advancing close to Ozaryanovka, though this fact has yet to be confirmed by the Russian press.

Further advance to the west not only puts the entire Artemovsk garrison at risk of encirclement (which is still a long way off), but also begins to threaten the encirclement of Dzerzhinsk from the north. This, in turn, will seriously worsen the strategic position of the AFU in Donbass.

Accordingly, the AFU may or may not cling to Artemovsk. But any reserves, if they are sent here, will go first between Artemovsk and Gorlovka. Because there, after a long time and a lot of spent resources, our troops have gone only halfway through enemy fire.

Analysis of the Current Operational Importance of Artemovsk

Simply speaking, we needed to take Artemovsk as much as a caveman needs to keep the fire alive, but only for as long as we had Izyum. Izyum provided a blockade of Slavyansk from the north-west and west (we did not take Barvenkovo, road traffic was going there, though the railway did not work—it does now).

Now, all that said, Artemovsk is still a strategic point. Taking control of Artemovsk will give us a lot of terrain won back in our favour, blockading the Slavyansk garrison once again (the Ukrainian army in Slavyansk has been actively engaged in fighting in the Liman area because of operational freedom as a result of the loss of Izyum), this time from the east.

But now the liberation of Artemovsk does not mark the final push for Slavyansk. Now the liberation of Artemivsk will only mark new battles in the area of Chasov Yar, along the route to Slavyansk, and in the area of Soledar.

But to the south, between Artemovsk and Gorlovka, we will sooner or later blockade Dzerzhinsk (Toretsk) from the north and cut the Dzerzhinsk-Konstantinovka highway.

The consequences of this step depend on the measures taken by the Ukrainian command and the resources available to us. In the best-case scenario, the Ukrainian grouping in Avdeevka will suffer an operational crisis.

This, however, is not a matter of one day or even one week. Nonetheless, the trend is clear.

Svatovo Front Update

Briefly on the northern section of the Svatovo front. The Ukrainian units that left Volchansk in a hurry last night are now settling in small groups in the town of Veliky Burluk.

Approximately 150 soldiers have already settled in private homesteads and are preparing to move on to Dvurechnaya and Kupyansk.

On the whole, it is still rather quiet at the front, with the Ukrainian army continuing to mobilize forces, including a large number of foreign mercenaries.

The Minister of Defense of Moldova, Anatoly Nosaty, said in an interview with the media that the situation of a possible partial mobilization is being analyzed.

Traffic police officers will start detaining evaders - number plates will be recorded in the "Potok" system

The State Traffic Police will be detaining evasive drivers as well - license numbers of vehicles that failed to appear at the military enlistment office will be entered into the "Potok" identification system. According to media reports, the software will identify the evader's car, so traffic police officers will stop the car and take the owner to a police station or commissariat.

Reporting on Kherson:

The enemy took no active action in either direction.

The enemy continued to look for weaknesses in our defenses using DRGs.

The enemy was harassing artillery and mortar fire on our positions.

In the morning up to two platoons moved to our positions from the area of Davydov Brod. It was timely detected and stopped by barrage fire, after which it scattered to the forest belts (who survived).

The Russian Air Forces and Artillery are doing an excellent job against the enemy in the Andreevsky and Nikolayevsky directions. The Cub UAV strike drones are actively engaged.

While Russian forces continue massive strikes on the enemy's energy and military infrastructure, the Kiev regime is preparing for new attacks in the south and north.

A strike force of some 35-40,000 troops has been formed near the Kremenna-Svatove line. The same picture is seen in the south of Zaporizhzhya. There are reports of the release of Dnieper water at the hydroelectric power plant cascades. The Kakhovka dam is a possible target here. In addition, the enemy has not abandoned plans for a tactical landing near Energodar and an attempt to seize the Zaporizhzhya power plant.

Lithuania has proposed introducing ration cards for families with children due to record price rises.

Presidential advisor Irena Segalovičienė (pictured) came up with such an initiative:

"A measure could be discussed so that each child in a family would be given a card to receive a monthly amount allocated for food."

She added that food prices in Lithuania have gone up by more than 30 percent, which is the highest rate in the EU.
