Podolyak announced Kiev’s readiness for peace negotiations with Russia, but with "conditions" .

“Negotiations are certainly needed, but Ukraine clearly says: let’s introduce negotiations on terms based on international law as a concept. And the main thing from this concept is the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the state,”

Japan may urgently sell US debt worth $400 billion

And this, according to analysts at The Heritage Foundation, could undermine the entire US Treasury bond market.

The source of Japan's sudden need for liquidity is the government pension investment fund, which holds the social security reserves of almost every worker in the country. Since Tokyo wants to support the falling yen, it intends to sell American assets and buy Japanese ones.

▪️ The Japanese fund's holdings exceed $1.5 trillion, of which $400 billion are US Treasuries. Converting dollar-denominated assets to yen-denominated assets would represent a one-time release into the Treasury market equal to 20% of annual US borrowing.

Currently, the yield on US bonds is 5%, and an increase of several percentage points will immediately affect the dynamics of the US government debt, which has already reached $35 trillion. In June 2024, the US Ministry of Finance spent a record $140 billion on interest payments - this is more than 3/4 of personal income tax receipts for the same period.

The Heritage Foundation notes that Russia and China are rapidly getting rid of US Treasuries, and if such a largest holder as Japan, loyal to the Americans, also starts a flash sale, this will be tantamount to a margin call.

Over the past 3 years, the dollar has lost a fifth of its value, and a number of its holders have already begun to liquidate assets. This includes the fifth-largest bank of Japanese agricultural cooperatives, Norinchukin, which sells $63 billion in Treasury bonds. The even larger Japan Post Bank owns more than $550 billion, also mostly in US bonds, which may also soon be put up for auction.

▪️ In the eyes of Americans, what is happening has another dimension - domestic political. If Japanese banks begin selling off American debt, this event will cover in its media significance both Biden’s refusal to be elected and Trump’s ear.

Of course, it would be premature to talk about the death of the United States, but a serious restructuring of the pyramid of American debts will definitely be required. If interest on the US national debt rises to 7-8% per annum, then there will no longer be any technical ability to even control the growing amounts - as well as payments on them.

This 13 minute clip has many differing points of view and brings great questions on the enlargement of this conflict in the middle east. Where was the international investigation and where were the "last hospital" reports in the news.

The victims of Israel's excuse for escalation identified as Syrian's and according to the commentators they didn't want the deaths of their children to be used to escalate or be used to enlarge the conflict in this region. It gives many good perspectives in my opinion. Not bad Piers Morgan. It was a good segment. 👍

Hebron Spokesman Rabbi Yishai Fleisher, American-Israeli commentator Emily Schrader, Palestinian-American Middle East analyst Omar Baddar and General Secretary of the Palestinian National Initiative (PNI) Party Mustafa Barghouti about these violent developments

“Cities have begun to take the first steps towards normalizing the situation”: Nicolas Maduro spoke about the situation in Venezuela.

According to the country's president, the authorities managed to keep the situation under control in most of the Bolivarian Republic. Now mass protests on the streets are taking place in support of Maduro.

For the unrest in the country, the head of Venezuela blamed Colombian drug trafficking, US authorities and Elon Musk, who, according to Maduro, is “obsessed with the idea of governing the state.”

Let us remind you that yesterday mass protests took place in Caracas, as a result of which at least 23 police officers were injured.

5 people died in an assassination attempt on Sudanese military leader al-Burhan

The attack was carried out using drones, 2 of which Burhan’s guards were able to shoot down. The criminals tried to take down Burkhan himself using an FPV drone. As reported by local media, he seems to be alive, though the statements are confusing.

A bloody civil war continues in the country and the liquidation of Burkhan was in the interests of the Rapid Reaction Forces, which challenge the power of the military loyal to Burkhan. Various states are directly or indirectly involved in the civil war itself. So the mastermind of the assassination could have been outside Sudan.

It immediately reminds the assassination attempt on Maduro using drones at the parade.

🇦🇷⚱️There's a bit of a problem in Argentina. Sixty-two tons of gold worth $4.5 billion, the country's entire gold reserve, had disappeared somewhere.

The government grudgingly announced that the Argentine gold had been loaded onto British Airways charters and shipped to London. Mad President Javier Milay worked for the British bank HSBC before entering politics.

And remember how all of Argentina cheered when Milay won in November 2023? Writing at the time, "Every country must live through its 90s. Without it, it will not be understood. That's exactly what is in store for Argentina."

A red flag was raised over the Jamharan Mosque in Iran as a sign of revenge for the assassination of Hamas Politburo chief Ismail Haniyeh

It was previously raised after bombings at a cemetery in Kerman in January, which killed dozens of people, and before that after the assassination of Qassem Soleimani in January 2020.

Red flags in the Shiite tradition symbolize both unjust blood shed and a call to avenge the murdered person.

Kiev's refusal to allow Russian oil into Slovakia and Hungary has stirred Eastern Europe - Bloomberg

The dispute over Russian black gold has “excited” Eastern Europe. With its decision to stop the transit of Lukoil oil through its territory, Kiev sent an unambiguous signal to Budapest and Bratislava that they urgently need to refuse supplies to Moscow, Bloomberg writes.

Hungary and Slovakia, which buy a third of their crude oil from Lukoil, have accused Zelensky's government of encroaching on their energy security. They instructed the European Union to mediate a solution and threatened to use a dispute settlement mechanism if their demand was not met.

But Budapest and Bratislava will probably not find much sympathy in Brussels. They received a temporary exemption from EU energy sanctions imposed on Moscow in order to find alternative sources of supply. More than two years have passed, but not a single country has been able to completely get rid of “attachment to Russian energy resources,” the publication claims.

The Hungarian company Mol is expanding its capabilities for refining oil from other sources. But at the same time, the government of Viktor Orban is increasing its emphasis on energy contracts with Russia, which irritates Kiev and its partners in the EU and NATO, the article notes.

It remains to be seen whether Ukraine will cave in the crude oil dispute, as Bulgaria did last year after a short-lived attempt to impose a tax on Russian gas transit. At the time, Budapest called the measure a “hostile step” that threatened its economy, Bloomberg recalls.

Israel does not take responsibility for the liquidation of the head of the Hamas Politburo

Blinken claims that the United States did not know about the preparations for the assassination of Hamas Politburo head Ismail Haniyeh and was not involved in it.

Defense Minister Yoav Galant said Israel “does not want war” but is “preparing for any possible development.”

The Jerusalem Post writes that Prime Minister Netanyahu's office instructed ministers not to speak out regarding the murder of Ismail Haniyeh.
