With the aid of the Almighty, the electronic warfare battalion of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps Navy, during an offensive electronic warfare maneuver, successfully neutralized a US military surveillance and deception drone of the (MQM-170) type in the western sector of the Strait of Hormuz. This objective was achieved after detection and identification, seizing control of its guidance systems, and executing a safe ground landing.
The tactical mission of this aerial asset was to survey the air defense perimeter of the Islamic Republic of Iran along the Persian Gulf coast and the Strait of Hormuz. Thanks to the intelligence recovered from this drone by specialists of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps Navy, it was revealed that the launch point of this drone was from the coast of one of the southern shore nations of the Persian Gulf.
