The ban was introduced in 2022 in an attempt to protect residents from fraud and financial losses.

Financial institutions are now allowed to make transactions with digital assets.

The cryptocurrency fell 2.7% on Thursday, approaching February levels. The drop is attributed to political instability in the US and sales by Mt. Gox lenders.
